Hangul, Korean Consonants! Today G is for Gum!
Learning Hangul Vowels eu!
This one was actually the hardest for me to comprehend. There doesnt seem to be an english word that really sounds like this and for me it sounded almost exactly like the other o or u type of vowels. Then I found a few videos online that helped to clear this up for me.
Think of it as an ‘uhh’ sound but spread your mouth wide (like the post it note guy!) it’s something between an uhh and ewww...sort of.
Learning Hangul vowels!!
Today’s vowel is A, sounds similar to saying ‘ah’
I remember the symbol for a because the little foot on the symbol is after the main vertical line.
Let’s Learn the Korean alphabet, Hangul!!
Todays vowel is eo. This one was sort of confusing to me at first because it sounds similar to eu. The best way I can describe the sound is somwhere between the ‘o’ in october and ‘uh’ sound.
Alright Making progress!
Learning Korean Hangul! - O
today’s vowel is o. I remember o because the small foot of the character is Over the longer horizontal line and it sounds similar to the ‘o’ in Over or Oppa!
Gettin thru the vowels

On to the next korean vowel!!
U, I remember this by thinking about the short leg of the character being UNDER the longer horizontal line. It sounds similar to the ‘oo’ in Boot, or Ooh lala.
Alright! now on to learning my Korean alphabet, Hungul!!!
Starting with the vowels, this is I, sounds like the “ee” in tree!
Please note: I am still new to the Korean language so if anyone has any tips/tricks or notices any errors, just let me know! =D
Wish me luck with my post it note learning!
