“i completely agree with you, i think the education system is infinitely flawed due to the opinions that come with being a human and the fact when we retell things it changes slightly. it’s geared toward who they want to gear it towards. it’s a matter of keeping people ignorant in order for them to keep them where they want them.” logan frowned at herself, suddenly becoming very aware of her existing in this space. her cheeks flushed. “sorry. this probably sounds stupid. honestly, i’m more of a science person.”

“sometimes i wonder why i became a lawyer,” isaac mumbled as he pored over the documents on his table at the diner. the real reason he had become a lawyer was because he really wanted to follow in his father’s footsteps. he also genuinely enjoyed helping people but when he had this amount of paperwork, he felt like he was drowning. “like why couldn’t i just become a self-loathing comedian or something?”

Nat tried her best to finish her sketch fast enough. She knew that people had other deal than being the model to her sketches – sketches that would or would never be used in her works. She relaxed as she drew, even more a crack of grin was visible from her face as she was oddly satisfied with how it turned out. “Thank you but you can move now.”

     “  hey, be nice.  ”  he pouted like a child.  “  i don’t go around throwing away your stuff. even if it is… in poor condition.  ”

“it depends on how you look at it,” she retorted, quirking an eyebrow. “i think that’s how it all began, too. memory is such a subjective thing, and makes for unreliable narrators, sure. that and the white man has monopolized history anyways, and that’s complete bs. but, personal history, how people remember things, i think that’s super interesting. the bias is what makes it interesting. it just depends on who’s bias it is.”

“Do you ever have people that try to hit on you that just deserve a huge “REJECTED” stamp on their forehead? Like please… Get away from me.“

“Hey you!” Nat just hoped that she sounded as loud as she hoped to be. “Yeah, yes, you! I think you should hold it right there. Don’t move.” Eyes darting back and forth to their sketchbook and the other. She scribbled down the basic sketch of the pose, a few lines here and there. “I said… don’t move,” she chided, even though she wasn’t looking at anything but her book and sketches as she quickly sketched.

“god, i’m so fucked,” she muttered under her breath, giving a loud sigh. continuing on, logan more spoke to whoever would listen. “i had actual work to do, and i spent the last three hours looking through clickbait– oh, well, at least i learned 50 messed up history facts.”

“y’all, you ever just witness the craziest shit that seems almost unbelievable?” fern mused aloud. “i mean i just saw a naked dude on roller skates going down the street and i’m not even tripping. nobody even batted an eyelash. what the fuck?”

     “  why would you do that?  ”  jinwoo huffed dramatically.  “  why would you throw out my book?  ”

one would think that someone living in a city for two years would have some sense of direction or be able to recognize streets by landmarks at the very least; as it would happen parker was not one of those people. he wandered until he was lost, and then he’d wander because he was lost.  it was just like him to tell the one person in his writing group who lived near him that he’d be good to get home on his own and manage to end up turned around. it was becoming something of a bad habit. “quick question, you wouldn’t happen to know how to get to hopdoddy’s from here, would you?”
