I’ve finally found a response for all the parents who come into my classroom and say “but they shouldn’t be rewarded for rioting”

Ponyo (2008)

The story goes that one young boy had stolen a fox off of someone’s property and, when caught, hid the young fox under his tunic. It gnawed on his innards and the boy did die, but the story was told as an example of how honorable the boy was for maintaining composure while being eaten alive and the boy’s mother would have been proud that her son died as a true Spartan.

this scene deserved at least 10 emmys
