the need to go ever emerging somewhere in the body either physical or mental turns out they're the same

today i woke up looked out the window and observed that i am alive and one day won't be and that is what it is all about

the spark of joy the feeling of having a handle of things reigning in feigning exhaustion to look cool focus on the goal the moment of clarity nostalgia  old ideas anew rediscovering one self and going home

hyper-focus a few seconds at a time laser-sharp eyesight down the phone a couch so comfortable you would never believe it’s really been that long, huh?

disfigurement via dissatisfaction point and shoot laser off mistakes give me soup i can barely open my mouth

is this the year? the one where i finally get my act together? start going to school again? read a book? or get a decent job for once? maybe i quit drinking? perhaps even smoking? and for good this time? or is this just another date in another calendar in another year  out of the few ones that i have left?

or is the pitch black really the void  that we fear and dread

it’s a struggle to get through it all before the day is gone before the clock resets and i have to try to do all again

a rocking chair a carpeted floor a growling tummy hungry for more

a lone cat stood still noticed that it was noticed and took off

crack open a bottle of champagne before completing your task
