I just wanted to show my condolences, respect, and appreciation for Pau Magasiva, who played Shane Clarke on Power Rangers Ninja Storm as the Red Wind Ranger.

I was nine years old when the series came out and Shane was always a draw for me; I enjoyed his compassion for his friends and teammates, his strong ties to his family, and his ability to take things seriously when the time calls for it. He’s one of the reasons I tried - and failed - at trying to skateboard. 

Also, he was my first real introduction to New Zealander and Pacific Islanders in general (when the show was still going I thought he was Black for the longest time because I’d never really seen a Samoan  before). 

I know that he did work outside of Power Rangers such as Shortland Street as the  Elvis Iosefa and later Nurse Vinnie Kruse as well as a radio host on the station Flava but, I’m most familiar with his work on Power Rangers. I’ve been told he also did some voice work for children cartoons by the name of Tiki Tour and Little Monstar.

While I’m not a religious man, myself, I hope he rests in peace; I hope he rests in power.
