Eros

This is the love of first attraction. It is “love at first sight”. It is sexual love. It is a passionate physical and emotional love based on physical attraction, beauty and aesthetic enjoyment. It is romantic love. It is a powerful bonding force especially in the young. It fixes on a single person and both begins and ends suddenly. It is characterized by jealousy, possessiveness, clinging, obsession with the object of our love and often a confusion of judgement, It is the love of poets and artists. When it is not returned we have “unrequited love” which is one of the most emotionally painful experiences known to humans. Eros is temporary lasting no more than months or a few years.

Ludus

A love that is played as a game or sport; conquest; may have multiple partners at once.  This is seduction. This is the “love” of the player who is really in love with the chase rather than the person. Often once the “conquest” is made the seducer moves on to a new target. If you have seen the film “Dangerous Liaisons” you are familiar with ludus. Most common in men but women also engage in it.

Philia (also called Storge)

This is an affectionate love that slowly develops from the initial rush of passion in eros or friendship. It is based on common experience, common interest, shared lives and mutual respect. If the love of eros is to survive it must evolve into philia. This is a type of love which can last a lifetime and survive tragedy and heartbreak.

Pragma

This is a kind of love that is driven by the head, not the heart. It is the kind of love which causes us to marry for security, status, money or admiration. It is not passionate. Often difficulty arises when one partner forms a sudden erotic love for another. Eros always trumps pragma.

Mania

This is an obsessive love. It is eros in hyperdrive. Not always sexual those experiencing mania experience great emotional highs and lows. These lovers become very possessive and jealous. This is often the most tragic of all loves because those driven to the love of mania can become self destructive or violent if this love is not returned. Most often mania leads to a loss of the very thing the lover wishes. It pushes away the object of affection who feels pursued, pressured and closed in.

Agape

So the only thing I could do was have it end in tragedy. That way I wouldn’t have to break up with the guy and I could adopt his daughter to stay close to her. He passed away peacefully on fire in the kitchen. Now in previous games, when a kid is taken away by CPS, the next kid you adopt is the same kid. Welp that didn’t carry over into sims 4 so the daughter ended up being taken away and erased from the game by the great sims deity.

I’m a sentimental man, so I kept neighbor mans tombstone around. I’d occasionally chat with his ghost, but he seemed cold to me. I can’t help but thinking he was a bit mad his daughter no longer existed. But this escalated once I started seeing Mike. His ethereal visits became more frequent and more hostile, usually breaking my electronics or creating a mess. But he went overboard when he started the fire.

Being a sim the died in a fire, his ghost had certain abilities specific to his death (setting fires). He got pissed because I kissed Mike so he set my couch on fire that ended up barricading us in the bedroom. Now I couldn’t find the fire alarm in buy mode and I hadn’t had the foresight to predict my spiteful ghost died-in-a-fire ex boyfriend would be an afterlife arsonist to care about it that much so a lot of the house had burned by the time I could get the FD there.

After having almost nothing covered by insurance (thanks Obama), Mike sat me down to have a talk with me. While I couldn’t understand him, I imagine he said “What the fuck you need to deal with your crazy ass ex boyfriend ghost. This never would have happened if you weren’t a thirst little sim bitch and dated me first.”

I approached the grave. It was time to release him. He was waiting for me. He knew this was the end. That after this, there was no coming back from the afterlife. I know he tried to kill me, and he knows I got his daughter deleted, but at that moment, it was just like old times. Telling each other jokes 27 times in a row until he would have sex with me.

All Three Major News Networks Ignored Bernie Sanders’ Speech Tuesday Night, To Show Empty Trump Podium

As Bernie Sanders took the stage on Tuesday night, the cable networks continued doing what they do best – talking.

Fox News, CNN and MSNBC all declined to carry Sanders’ speech, instead offering jokes about the evening while showing live coverage of Trumps empty podium while promising that we were all, “AWAITING TRUMP” and “STANDING BY FOR TRUMP.“ 

In Fact: EVERY OTHER CANDIDATE HAD AIR TIME EXCEPT FOR SANDERS

As if these stations couldn’t get any more corrupt, The Huffington Post’s Michael Calderone reported that the media have collectively given Trump some $2 billion worth of free air time.

This is the first time where, while writing an episode, I got so mad I had to leave the house and take a walk with my dog. And the first time where, during shooting, I actually started to get a little … riled up? Clearly I have some feelings about this topic; some of them are discussed.
