#charlottesjanchallenge day one. There are a lot of things I want to work on - box splits and straddle, active flexibility, turnout and chest stands being big ones. I would also like to improve this pose here. You can see there’s quite a difference between my right and left, and that’s largely because of last year’s injury. This year I’d like to catch my bad side up to my good side and eventually be able to grab my foot in this pose. I’m not that far off on my good side, but the imbalance makes me fall over when I try 😂 All the more reason to get the bad side up to scratch!

Bird Of Paradise was the trick I told myself I was going to get this year (along with Fonji) and I’m so happy it was performance-ready for UKPPC! My entry can still be hit-and-miss so there’s more work to be done there, and I’m hoping to get it a lot bendier-looking too.
