DND Character Illustration of a warforged arcane trickster rogue

Siphon is a thief whose soul was trapped in a warforged suit after attempting to score big from the notorious mad mage apprentice known as Metal Mage. She tries to reach the bottom of the dungeon in hopes of reclaiming her original form.

Here's a character I recently finished Illustrating! Her name is Arannis.

A fierce temper forged from a harsh and discriminating environment. She was one of many warriors bred for war, and being adept at the blade, she was sent to conquer the neighboring lands at a young age. However, for a mere disposable being, years of bloodshed chipped away Arannis' loyalty. Witnessing the suffering caused by wars sparked a flicker of rebellion within her mind. She eventually turned her blades on her own commander, severing his arm in a desperate gamble, but underestimating her commander's strength, she failed to take his life in the end. She was then hanged for treason but was saved just in the nick of time by a band of mercenaries with a similar cause as her. Now, having escaped with this new group, Arannis seeks not just strength, but vengeance. Her goal: to end the tyranny that scarred her and liberate those forced to serve a brutal regime.

Her name is Arannis. An original character of mine that I illustrated. She's a fighter Dual wielder.

Born to a human mother and a fiendish father, a result of a dark pact that her mother regretted. She grew up in a harsh environment, facing discrimination and violence from both humans and fiends. She learned to fight for survival, using her dual blades to fend off any threats. She has a fierce temper and a strong sense of loyalty, but she is not very bright or charismatic.

Her unique abilities include:

Demonic Fury: When entering a critical state, Arannis can unleash the blades' full power, channeling the demon's rage for devastating attacks. However, this risks losing control, unleashing a frenzy that could even harm allies.

Echoes of Battle Frenzy: Arannis enters a combat trance, channeling battle memories from past blade wielders. This grants unpredictable tactics, heightened aggression, and even the ability to manipulate these echoes to sow fear in enemies. However, she risks losing control, succumbing to the blades' bloodthirsty whispers.

Mark of Acceptance: 

Positive: The mark earns respect and aid from those familiar with its history, challenging prejudice and offering opportunities.

Neutral: The mark becomes a neutral identifier, allowing Arannis to be judged on her own merits but attracting potential danger.

Unfortunately, no lore was given to her so I couldn't share with y'all her story. But I hope you like her as much as I do. Will be posting new art soon, but if not, I'll just repost some of my old art since I've been reminiscing of the days when I had all the time in the world to just draw people's OCs and still have time for my other hobbies 😔

I've been busy with school a lot lately! it's my third year as a Bachelor's in Industrial Design student and it's been getting harder and harder to keep up with school requirements. Hence, it's been a challenge squeezing art on my spare time 😵‍💫

Enough about me, though! Meet Evelara, once a revered warrior of the Ebon Flame, now bound to her cursed weapon known as the Eye of Foresight. This weapon possesses the uncanny ability to predict an enemy's next move. It glows with an ethereal light when danger is imminent, and its gaze can pierce through illusions and deceit. The Eye has a mind of its own, communicating with Evelara through visions and whispers, guiding her strikes with deadly precision. However, over-reliance on its power comes at a cost. The Eye feeds on Evelara's life force, draining her energy each time she taps into its foresight. Prolonged use leaves her feeling weak and disoriented, a state she refers to as a 'foresight hangover'. This side effect often dulls her senses, leading to certain clumsiness outside of combat.

Cortello the Undead Bard

Cortello's personality is a flamboyant and charismatic character who loves to perform. He is also a clever and cunning trickster who is always up for a good time. He is fiercely loyal to his friends and always willing to help those in need.

A widely regarded skilled musician and performer as well as a talented swordsman and has a knack for magic. He is able to use his undead nature to his advantage, such as by healing himself with negative energy or using his bony body to slip through tight spaces.

Care to join her for a bath?

Female Tiefling. Couldn't decide which version of her is better. This is probably one of the characters I'm more likely to redraw. I haven't practiced drawing tattoos so it probably could use some polishing on her. Overall I'm glad with the way she turned out, especially her hair. Would love to hear some opinions from you guys!

Well Hello there! I'm trying to post more often because here, but it's been taking quite some time to produce art despite being on vacation for the holidays lol. Thought I might share another DND OC I did a little while back instead! I love drawing muscular women and I definitely enjoyed my time with this ol' bubbly tiefling over here! Might redraw her sometime, but idk. Hope you guys like her as much as I do.

What's your favorite class to play as in DnD?

Ps I know I need to get a new monitor with how inaccurate my screen looks to the actual colors it displays. It's been a challenge painting an illustration thinking you've had the correct saturation and values only for it to look flat on other screens. And I've had this problem since I started doing digital art. At first I thought I could cheese it by just drawing in black in white, but I realized I was limiting myself with that process when I really wanted to incorporate colors. Hopefully I could get enough funds to secure a decently accurate monitor by next year. But until then, I just have to stick with constantly checking my work on my phone screen to ensure my colors aren't flat and boring. Anyway, I hope you like the art (⁠ ⁠╹⁠▽⁠╹⁠ ⁠)

Criella is a Tiefling that learned to use her magic to create illusions, distractions, and misdirections, as well as to enhance her physical abilities. She also developed a fascination with colors and smoke, as they reminded her of the fireworks and festivals that her parents used to take her to before they died tragically. She acquired a special cape that could change its color and texture, and she enchanted it to produce smoke at the ends. She used this cape to create colorful displays and smoke screens, as well as to conceal her tiefling features from the prejudiced eyes of the city folk.
