Here's a clip from Serial Experiments Lain, a clip from the second episode with the first 40 seconds of audio of “Beginning To Melt.” I was so blown away when I first watched the series and heard this because the anime was shared with me by a fellow Japan and JBK fan. She was as surprised as I was.

This is likely from around the same time as his first album Brilliant Trees was being produced, or shortly after its release. Though, I can’t be sure as I wasn’t around then to see! Haha...
