You were sat with Dick, having your annual weekly catchup. The two of you were childhood friends, that’s how you met Jason. You spent your time talking about your week at work and how Jason was doing. Dick talked about Bludhaven and his Nightwing duties, it was fun.

Eventually the topic of Jason came up once more. “Actually Dick, Jason annoyed me so much today, so I told him that I couldn’t wait for what he had planned for our special day tomorrow”. You told Dick, with a smile on your face. You swirled the spoon in your coffee, as Dick sent you a questioning look, his eyebrow raised making you laugh.

“Wait, there’s nothing special tomorrow is there? I thought your anniversary was next month?” He questioned you, making you laugh once more. You drank some of the coffee before answering, “oh I know, it is next month. But there’s just something special about watching the way the colour drains from his face when he panics”.

You smile to yourself as you make your way up the pathway into the rust syndicate building, the poke ball in your pocket rustling. You were so excited to give your boyfriend his little present. After being back in your home town in Paldea, you knew exactly what to get the leader.

You greeted the members of Corbeau’s team? Group? Gang? Yeah, Corbeau’s… gang, giving them polite smiles and waves as they returned it. You thanked the last grunt who had opened the door for you, receiving a nod in return.

As you entered the main room, you saw Corbeau, a stern look on his face and Phillipe was talking to him about something you couldn’t hear, the pair hadn’t noticed you yet, which surprised you, but maybe they were too busy in their work.

As you made your way over, finally your boyfriend looked up at you, his features turning soft, which seemed only to happen with you. He turned back to Phillipe, saying something quietly to him. The second-in-command stood up straight, looking at you, “welcome back” he spoke to you, before making his leave, leaving you and Corbeau alone.

He stands up from behind his desk, the soft look still on his face, which you happily return. “I missed you” you speak softly.

Corbeau wraps his arms around you, a gentle hug which you happily return. You hear a muffled “missed you too” which makes you laugh.

“Oh, I’ve got a present for you ‘beau” you speak, separating from the man, who looks at you quizzically, but you just grin back at him.

“Happy anniversary”, you hand him the poke ball.

Corbeau opens the ball, and the both of you look at the Clodsire that pops out. You smile widely, proud of your little present.

“This is Clodsire, he’s native from Paldea, and I just knew he’d be perfect for you ‘beau. He’s a poison and ground type, and look, I think he likes you already!” You finish, as the pokemon slowly makes it way towards Corbeau, who is looking at you lovingly.

He wonders what he did to deserve you.

You laugh at the pair, Corbeau with his signature look, and the happy little Clodsire. “I know he doesn’t fit your little mafia boss aesthetic” you joke around, making Corbeau shake his head. “But look what I have for him!”.

You reach into your bag, pulling something out. Corbeau stares in disbelief as he watches you tape angry eyebrows on to Clodsire. You pull a fake angry face at the Pokemon, who makes one back and Corbeau can’t help but laugh, as he watches you in awe.

You smile as you enter Madame Bo's Teahouse. Kung Lao, Johnny, Kenshi and Raiden were all sat around, you could hear their laughter, Johnny's voice loud like usual.

Kung Lao smiles as he sees you, waving you over which you happily do.

"Hey everyone, hey my love" you speak, turning to your boyfriend who gives you a gentle kiss which you return.

You can hear Johnny make a comment to Kenshi, who shakes his head in response.

"All right lovebirds, that's enough". Johnny speaks, making you shake your head and laugh softly. You place a hand on Kung Lao's leg, he gives you a grin.

"Oh, Kung Lao, I actually came here to ask you if you could do me a favour?" you ask him. He nods before he even knows what the favour is, making the others laugh quietly among themselves.

"I would literally cover up a murder you committed, plant my DNA at the crime scene, and take the blame for it if you asked me to". Kung Lao responded, making you raise an eyebrow at your boyfriend.

Kung Lao's response has the others looking between you two, Johnny is mimicking Kung Lao, who is choosing to ignore his friend, as Raiden tries to stop the actor.

"Can you do those dishes I asked you to do?" you smiled sweetly at him. You noticed how the other three were now completely silent, waiting on Kung Lao's answer.

Your boyfriend blinked, "no", he responded, making his friends all gasp.

You let out a soft hm, nodding at your boyfriend. "No? Okay then". You got up, not looking at Kung Lao, who seemed to be sweating slightly. You faced the other three, who were still looking at you, mouths agape. "Goodbye for now gentleman", you waved goodbye, still ignoring Kung Lao, as you made your leave.

The table was silent, as they all watched you leave.

"Dude, why would you say no?!" Johnny spoke, as Kung Lao shrugged.

"I hate dishes, they know this" he pouts, making Kenshi and Raiden laugh.

Raiden hits Kung Lao's shoulder, shaking his head at his friend. Just as he was about to say something, Kung Lao is hit in the head with a paper. They look at the offender to see its Madame Bo.

Just four hours ago you had received amazing news and you were extremely excited to tell your husband. That was until you returned to your office to collect your belongings, an envelope on your desk, your name sprawled across in thick, black ink. You opened the envelope, photos of your husband falling out. However, they weren’t just off your husband, his secretary was also in them and unfortunately for you, they weren’t just talking. You quickly put them back in the envelope, grabbing your things and leaving.

As you arrived at your home you saw Dick’s car in the driveway, you turned your car off, resting your head against the wheel and building up the courage to confront your husband. You looked to the seat next to you, the envelope felt like it would burn you if you picked it up. How were you gonna speak to Dick about all this? Do you go in angry, do you let him explain himself. Are the photos even real?

You opened the envelope once more, taking a close look at the photos. Yeah they were real. You knew you had to enter your home eventually so you pulled yourself together and got out the car. The walk to the front door felt like it wasn’t going to end, inside was your cheating husband, had they done anything today while you were at work and getting important news? Probably.

You opened the front door, Dick’s cheerful tone entering your ears as he shouted hello to you. You sighed, this was it, was your marriage going to be over? More than likely. Did you want to do this? Not really. But you knew you had to, you deserved respect, you deserved answers. Dick came over to you, going to kiss you but you moved away, walking towards the couch, making him look at you, confusion written all over his face.

He followed you, noticing the envelope in your hand, and raised his eyebrow. “What’s in there?” He asked you in a curious tone. This was it. You were going to ask him calmly you decided. You opened the envelope, taking out the six photos of your husband and his secretary. Dick’s eyes widened when he saw them, he let out a choked breath, hanging his head.

“Look, I just want some answers, I think I deserve them, don’t you?” You spoke in such a level tone that Dick didn’t know what you were thinking. He looked up to you, your face held no emotion. “Uh- yeah.. yeah you deserve answers”. He paused, you waited patiently, you wanted to give him the chance to talk. “I just want you to know, it was never meant to go this far. I love you so much Y/N, that’s why I married you”. You laughed, you couldn’t help it.

You looked into Dick’s eyes, there was sadness there, he didnt deserve to be sad, you were the one who was cheated on, not him. You gave him your life and he threw that away. “Dick, please don’t. Just tell me why? Was I not enough for you?” He gasped at that, falling to his knees infront of you. “God no Y/N, of course you’re enough for me. It was a mistake. I swear-” you raised a hand, making Dick stop.

“Dick, my plan for the day was to come home and tell you that I had received news that we were allowed to adopt-”. Dick spluttered out some form of noise at that. The two of you had always talked about adopting, having your own family and here he was ruining that. “-But then I get to my office, to find these. Yet you wont give me anything here, how long has it been going on?” You wondered. Dick’s breaths were heavy, he was trying to keep calm, but he had fucked up and now his entire life was falling apart.

He looked at you, your eyes connecting. You could tell by the look in his eyes, that these words were going to hurt you. “Uh- uh, 6 months” he whimpered out. Six months. It ran through your head. Six fucking months he had been having an affair. The calm demeanour you had was slowly disappearing. Fuck Dick Grayson for breaking your heart. You stood up, walking towards your, no Dick’s bedroom, to retrieve your things, you grabbed two suitcases along the way. You could hear Dick behind you, begging you not to do this.

“Fuck Y/N, no please don’t do this. I’ll break it off, I promise. I’ll fire her. I’ll do anything please don’t leave me. Jay told me to-” you quickly spun around. “Jason knew?!” You snapped out causing Dick to step back, eyes wide. “Uh yeah.. but he was on your side! He told me not to continue and I didn’t listen”. You scoffed, and started to pack up your clothes into suitcases. “Fuck you Grayson and you can tell Jason he can fuck himself aswell”. Dick didn’t move, he didn’t know what to do.

All his rationality had left his body and he said something that truly ended your marriage. “Can you please just stay, if this gets out, it could ruin my reputation”. You froze, the item in your hand dropping to the bed. Dick knew immediately that he had fucked up, and by the look in your eyes, he knew he had lost you. He couldn’t believe he had fucked up so much, he knew it was a mistake, but he just kept going back. He was Bruce Wayne’s adopted son, of course paparazzi would watch him, of course he’d get found out. And now, it had cost him his world.

You looked at Dick, already preparing yourself to get divorce papers sorted. “Oh Dick, it’s really not my responsibility to untangle you from this mess and by the way. I want a divorce”. Dick finally let out a sob. He couldn’t hold it in. You finished packing, letting Dick sob but not giving him any comfort. He did this, if anyone should be crying it’s you.

When the rest of the Batfamily had realised that Jason Todd had a younger sibling that he had kept hidden from them for years they felt a variety of emotions. Shock, at how Jason was able to hide you for so long. Sadness, because they would have loved another sibling. Also proudness, because damn Jason had kept a secret for years? It was Dick who had first met you, he had turned up at yours and Jason’s apartment in his Nightwing gear after there had been an outbreak at Arkham. You remember that day very well.

You heard a knock on the door, it was 3am, making you and Jason wary at who would be knocking so early in the morning. “Go to your room Y/N” Jason spoke sternly, you nodded immediately rushing off, neither of you remembering to get rid of your stuff around the apartment. Jason held his gun as he opened the door, eyes widening at his adopted brother at his door. “Dick?” He asked, making the older brother laugh. “Clearly. I take it you don’t keep up on the news? There’s been an outbreak at Arkham and-” he paused as he really took in the apartment, his eyebrows creased as he noticed clothing that definitely did not fit his younger brother.

“Uh Jay, who else lives here?” Dick questioned, making Jason let out a quiet ‘shit’ at the situation. “I uh- it’s my younger sibling.. none of you were suppose to know. If they get involved in our lives then god knows what could happen to them” Jason finished looking at Dick whos eyes were wide. He had clearly not expected that. “Well I didn’t expect that. But I get it, can I meet them?” Dick asked Jason, the latter looking back towards the bedrooms, before nodding slightly. The two made their way to your bedroom, Jason knocking on the door, before opening it just so he could see in. Dick couldn’t make out the murmuring happening, but smiled when the door opened wider, seeing you. A ten year old child. You gave him a small wave, of course Jason had told you about his adopted family after he had got you back in his care. You knew who everyone was. Dick smiled, waving back.

“Sorry for interrupting, I’m Richard but everyone calls me Dick”. You nodded at the older man, “yeah I know who you are Dickie-bird, I’m Y/N”, you replied to Dick, smiling back. Dick gave a side look to your older brother who had a grin on his face, oh, so you had Jason’s annoying humour, great Dick thought. “I’m sorry for having to take Jay from you tonight, you gonna be okay?” He asked you making you snort. “Oh please do, he was annoying me anyways” you spoke plainly, the two older men wide eyed at your comment. Dick grinned at you, he can see why Jason kept you away from this life. You were a child, who deserved to grow up atleast partially normal. And as Dick and Jason left that night, it was the start of a new life for you.

Now 5 years later, you were fully integrated into the batfamily, well not fully, you weren’t a vigilante, Jason would never allow it. Currently you were all at the latest gala. You stood with Damian, who despite how he tried to act, liked to be around you. You looked around frowning when you noticed what alot of the women who had came to the event had in common. You said a quick bye to Damian before making your way towards your older brother.

“Jay, Jay! It’s an emergency!” You spoke quickly, making your brother frown. “We need to get Dick out of here, there’s no time” you finished, making Jason even more confused. “Uh- why?” He asked you, looking around incase there was trouble. “Seriously Jay? Look around, there’s so many red heads” you finally told him, making him snort and nod at your answer.

You sigh as you close the front door behind you, slipping your shoes off. The house is silent as you make your through it, entering the living area.

You smile as Mabosstiff is lay on the sofa, snoozing softly. A smile rises on your lips as you walk over to the Pokemon.

"Oh, there's my pretty boy" you speak, a hand running through Mabosstiff's fur. The pokemon looks like it has a faint smile on as you lower yourself to sit next to them on the sofa.

As you continue to stroke the Pokemon, Arven enters the room, cheeks light pink.

"You think I'm-" he cuts off, seeing your attention on Mabosstiff. You turn to look at your boyfriend, who shakes his head lightly. "Yeah, that makes sense I guess. You were talking to him. Yup. Yep. I need to go" he speaks quickly, making his way into the kitchen.

You glance at Mabosstiff who looks at you. "Now, what is wrong with your trainer little one" you asked the Pokemon who barks lightly at you, making you laugh.

The night was coming to an end for everyone else in Gotham City, but for you and Barbara Gordon, the night was still alive. You had been arguing since you had returned from work, Barbara was getting ready to go on patrol, however it was suppose to be her night off. All you had done was question what she was doing on her day off, but you didn’t know Barbara was stressed and she exploded, taking it out on you.

“Honestly Y/N, all I wanted to do was go out on patrol and destress, but you’re in my ear, can’t you see why I’m on patrol all the time? So I don’t have to be here!” Barbara yelled out, making you freeze, anything you wanted to say leaving your mind. What had she said?

“Excuse me? I don’t know who you’re talking to, all I wanted to know was what was going on tonight. I thought we had plans. But besides that, I didn’t know you felt that way about us and being here” you trailed off, but Barbara was too stressed, not thinking and continued in her rantings. “I’m talking to you clearly! You constantly want me here Y/N, but this city needs me, and I can’t be here to constantly reassure you”. She ran her hand through her hair, “maybe Dick was right” she muttered out making you freeze once more. But she hadn’t even realised what she had said before she had left the house, meeting up with Cass and Steph for the night’s patrol. You thought about what she said, what did she mean about Dick, what did he say and why was she talking to her ex boyfriend about you. You grabbed the spare blanket from the cupboard, grabbing your pillows and retreating to the couch. You weren’t going to sleep in the room, what was the point if Barbara wasn’t there anyways you thought.

Barbara returned home at 6am, it had been a long night and she entered through the bedroom window, she noticed that you weren’t there, sending the hero into a panic. She ran into the living-room, finding you asleep on the couch, making her frown. As she slowly thought about why you were there, the argument the two of you had, slowly entered her mind, making her gulp. She had messed up. She returned to the bedroom and tried to get some sleep as she waited for you to wake up.

Barbara couldn’t sleep though, she tossed and turned thinking about what she had said to you. It wasn’t until she heard you walk into the kitchen that she jumped up from the bed. She rushed towards the kitchen, seeing your eyes wide at her. “Uh, hey” she spoke softly to you. You sent her a small smile, “hi” you replied. You turned back around making your drink and some toast. Barbara could tell you were hurt, but she didn’t know how to fix this.

“Y/N, I’m sorry about yesterday, I was stressed and I took it out on you” she sighed, “I love being here and I love being with you. I hope you know that”. She waited to see if you would respond, but you continued to make your breakfast.

Finally you spoke, “honestly Red” you were still using her nickname she thought, atleast that was a good thing. “I get being stressed and that’s okay, but I just got to know, what did you mean when you said Dick was right?” You asked her. Barbara’s eyes widened, she forgot she had said that. She rubbed a hand down her face, groaning, making you raise an eyebrow.

“I didn’t mean that, Dick, well Dick has told me in the past that were not good for eachother. But I always told him no, he only thinks that because he still has feelings for me”. You rolled your eyes, of course he was. Everyone could tell that. “So yeah, I guess I just wasn’t thinking and it came out. But I do think were perfect together, that’s why I’m with you. Because I love you”. You processed her words, you didn’t really know what to think.

You rode your motorbike to Gotham bank. Dick, Jason and Bruce also on their way. Commissioner Gordon had rang saying that Two-Face has hostages at Gotham Bank and needed help, so off the four of you went. "Are you guys close? I'm nearly there" you spoke in your comms, receiving yes's from the three men. You got there first, going towards Jim Gordon, he was explaining the situation to you when they arrived. You told Gordon you had this and the four of you planned your attack points.

Thankfully the bank heist was stopped, all hostages were saved, nobody had been hurt and now Two-Face was back behind bars and you were all back in the Batcave, a job well done. "Honestly guys, I'm ready to die by sacrificing myself for others at any moment" you said so casually, the boys heads turned to you, alarm in their eyes.

"Not if I die sacrificing myself first to protect you Y/N!" Dick replied to you. Bruce looked between the two of you. You were ready to say something when suddenly Bruce spoke "honestly, I'd prefer if none of you died..." he spoke to the three of you before looking at Jason, "...again" he added on, making you laugh at Jason's face.

Jason stood up facing the three of you. "Don't worry old man. When the two of them die, I will avenge them. I enjoy murder" you laughed once more, despite the side eye Bruce gave you, it only made you laugh harder. "Admirable. But you're missing the point Jason. Nobody is dieing okay?". You stood up, saluting, "aye aye captain".

Connor was sat in Donna’s room as the two were bonding since he had just joined the Titans. He hadn’t looked around the room, as he had learnt it was an invasion of privacy. However, a photo on the table of Donna and a person he hadn’t met yet caught his eye. In the photo Donna and the person had massive smiles on their faces, they seemed to be at a theme park he noticed, Gar had told him all about them, the pair were holding two massive sticks of cotton candy. They just looked happy, he thought.

“Who is that?” He asked Donna, pointing to the person in the photo beside Donna. She looked to where Connor was pointing, sighing when she saw he was pointing at you. “That is” she paused to sigh once more, “that is Y/N, they were my partner”. She spoke with a tight-lipped smile, but Connor didn’t notice, he was new to the world so to speak, he couldn’t tell when someone was trying to keep a brave face on.

“When can I meet them? They seem nice!” He asked Donna, who looked down, trying not to cry, which Connor did notice. “Donna? Are you okay?” He placed a hand on her shoulder, making her look up, she gave him a soft smile. “You can’t, I’m afraid. They aren’t here anymore after a run-in with Deathstroke”. Connor looked down, “oh, I’m so sorry”. Donna shook her head, “it’s okay, they would have liked you. They were the best person in the world. Y/N would sacrifice their life in a heartbeat and they did, to save me”.
