Kingdom Hearts/Resident Evil #071 Title: Pairing/Characters: Karl Heisenberg/Aqua (Kingdom Hearts) Rating: Mature | M Warnings/Tags: No Warnings apply. Adults being mean to kids, background/pre fic character death, occasional underage drinking, political turmoil, semi accidental cheating, age gap relationship, older man/younger woman(Less of a warning but this story will have heavy aro themes. This may have a Ship, but one of them is Aro and is just fucking a few people though not at the same time. They are in love with her in different ways and will have a large argument about it. The relationship will not end with them finding love, but still staying together. It's going to be messy. The cheating is because one of them thought they were in a relationship and they were not on her end.) Summary: Snow White, True Princess of Waldflächia, is in hiding. She also wants to be a proper ruler when her step mother - Queen Brunhilde - is eventually overthrown. So to do that, she needs to go to college. She has hired Aqua and Terra to be her bodyguards, and they in turn have never really interacted with outside society, outside of jobs. So, to make this whole thing less suspicious, Aqua has gone out and gotten a "boyfriend", the 50 year old perpetual student, Karl Heisenberg. Who, as it turns out, also has some connections to Waldflächia. Now Aqua has to balance her Friends with Benefits with Karl, hide Snow White from the Evil Queen's reach, and pass her grades so she can stay in Snow White's classes. Will Aqua be able to do that while keeping Snow White alive?

Ace Attorney/Zero Escape #007 Title: Nine Hours, Nine Culprits Pairing/Characters: Simeon Saint & Bronco Knight, Simeon Saint & Akane Kurashiki, Lana, Acro, Furio Tigre, Kristoph Gavin, Alita Tiala, Cammy Meele, Iris Rating: Mature | M Warnings/Tags: Graphic Violence, Major Character Death, It's a Zero Escape fic with multiple bad endings. So, there will be major character deaths repeated in some ways, but they may or may not stick.. This isn't really a warning, per se, but please note that I am writing this as a play-along fic where readers will get different outcomes depending on what they choose. Just in case there are any interested artists who don't like "choose your own adventure" style stories. Summary: Simeon Saint wakes up in a locked room with only the vaguest memories of how he got there. The only way out is to play a game. A game created by someone who goes by "Zero."

There are eight other participants. The only thing they have in common? All of them were imprisoned for a crime of some sort.

A former chief prosecutor who once forged evidence. A disgraced defense attorney who may be responsible for multiple murders. A loan shark. A smuggler turned killer. A woman born into a family of spirit mediums. An acrobat who once worked for the same circus as Simeon. A former mafia princess.

And then there's the ninth player, whose purpose is to literally haunt the narrative.

They have nine hours to escape. Assuming they don't all kill each other first.

Then she gets caught and sent to the facility They probably make her undress, shower, and give her a prison outfit.

Speaking of, I wonder if she has a lot of scars and marks all over her body that would get revealed because normally she covers them with makeup. I wonder if she got x rays if it would show bones that broke and never healed properly and shes just popping ibuprofen all the time since she can't get prescription pain medication bc shes not a "real person" Anyway...

Imagine having that life where you have always had to be someone else. You go to prison and change into a prison uniform and go to bed that night.

And when you wake up you just... don't have to do that anymore like... ever again.

You don't wake up knowing you're going to do the same thing you've always done. This time everything is new, and you don't know what to expect, but for once its actually better than you imagined.

The prison's rules and expectations are difficult to the average person, but what you went through was so much worse that all you can think is "Is that all? This is so much easier. I can finally rest."

Days before would drag on forever but days here have more of a natural rhythm and you actually look forward to things like light exercising, getting a prison job to make your own money and get to choose what you spend it on, even if its crap its your own, not fearing sleep and what the next day will require. You sleep much better in prison with the cold cot and the paper thin blanket and all the shouts and screams and chaos than you ever did before.

You keep waking up in the night, reliving everything again, or to put your getup on otherwise people will see you like this, only to realize you don't have it anymore.

You find yourself subconsciously going to check your phone or send a text regarding your mission but you keep realizing, its not there. For once, theres no way you can be contacted by your abuser.

You may even feel a bit sad or lost without them, because theyre the only person that's been consistent in your life and closest to what you thought a parent or family was.

Besides them, you don't have anyone else. Who are your parents? Are they still alive? Did they even want me? Why did every person in my life fail me? Did I deserve it? Do I still?

You're scanning the room always without even realizing, "who will I be asked to kill next?" you think, and when you find someone you like you think "its them, isn't it?"

Your task isn't only to be completely self reliant its also to be utterly lonely, and to believe that thinking or doing anything for yourself is selfish. That being obedient is the best thing you can be.

Imagine having to train yourself over a long span of time that people interacting with you or being close to you, doesn't lead to you having to kill them. You had always thought of yourself as an omen that way, you literally bring death wherever you go.

Imagine having a breakdown over someone close to you dying from natural causes or an illness or a car accident and falling back into that deep dark spiral, thinking its your fault, thinking if you would've kept your distance they would've been fine.

Now your biggest worries only amount to, if you feel cold, if you don't sleep very well, if you're still a bit hungry. And you're already used to those, maybe even numbed yourself to your own needs entirely. (Having to train yourself to recognize when you feel bad and to rest when you do)

You don't even have to worry about getting beat up by someone because you've been through worse and can handle your own.

Some prisons have a dog training program. I think something like that would help her a lot. Getting to better a being's life. Have physical evidence of your effort and proof of your ability to do something good. To have someone to encourage you to push on when its hard to keep going. Especially since I think she's the type of person to be hard on herself and punish herself, to take risks because its just her so it doesnt matter, but when someone else is involved, she's actually very level headed and responsible, because she doesnt want them to suffer from her actions.
