This is right before the story starts, when Luelle has decided to run away and leave Valan Kingdom.
I have had no motivation to draw lately, and this time was no exception, I just kinda forced myself to draw anyways bc I was bored and I am very tired of having no motivation!! I have ideas, just no motivation to match >:(
But! Since I was making myself draw, I decided to take it easy, and do something simple (which... you can see how that went lol). But I did take this as an opportunity to experiment with how I draw a bit, and focus waaaayyyy less on making it look perfect or whatever. I wanted to mainly mess with how I do line art, bc that's my least favorite part of drawing by far.
I do like how it turned out tho! I planned very little, and kinda chilled while drawing, and it was nice <3 Also I have assigned yellow daffodils to Luelle (they symbolize rebirth and hope <3)
Nobody warns you that writing a slow burn means YOU also have to suffer for 300 pages waiting for them to just kiss already

Genuinely think As You Like It has my favorite couple in any play I've seen so far. Rosalind and Orlando just have Such Good chemistry, and they are so sillies! I really liked the production of it I just saw, bc Orlando realized it was Rosalind before the end when she reveals herself. And it was really fun to see that! It was cute <3
I've heard people criticize the play for having way to much going on (fair) but I really like it! I think it's fun and silly! I love Rosalind and Orlando, they are Such a fun duo!

Edgar Allen & Poe X Inkpot Gods
I swear poe looked more like a crow half way through then I added like his energy spreading and now he looks like a blob...

This was absolutely based on Flapjacks death in toh and that makes this sm sadder
I interpret the song as a way of describing the fact sometimes you can have people support you to get better but its a journey you sometimes have to make alone and that made me think of edgar sm
Like, poe literally was the first push of keeping edgar alive but now his recovery and edgars (inevitable) battle with his mental health after this is a journey theyre now having to do alone.
The song talks about overcoming a traumatic past and becoming more than you were meant to be. Not only was his beginning at St churnleys traumatic and he now has to become more than the Allen boy who lost their crow, some subtle of his relationship with his family show signs of trauma from them growing up.
So now edgar has to start his own journey, figuring himself and their curse out, as it is no longer what he thought it was and they will no longer live the future he thought he had to
So there is my art and my thoughts aswell <33

I woke up the other day, and while I was waking up, this idea popped into my brain <3 I actually got pretty excited to draw it, and it was very fun to work on! I liked hiding the messages in both of their hairs :) I totally understand why you guys did that, its soo much fun! And I got a lot of practice with color theory <3 The background was really annoying, but the Pigeons were very nice to color <3
I also don't know that much about the backrooms, but theres gotta be some way for time shenanigans to insue, right?? My original idea was just to use a mirror, but I don't actually know if there are mirrors in the backrooms? And I thought putting future Pigeon in the shadows was more fun! (Tho I do wish the shadows were a bit darker...)
