My step father died on Friday. And I say died instead of passed away, because it wasn't fucking peaceful. My mother found him laying in our driveway not breathing, tried everything she could to make him breathe until paramedics showed up and took over. I stood in the ER room for an hour watching his head turn blue and his body cold. Standing there in shock, tears and random screams leaving my mouth, as they pumped him full of drugs and pounded in his chest..... But nothing. I watched them cut him open to shove a tube to his heart to see what was happening. I watched it all. It was traumatic. I will never be able to get the imagine of his body laying there.. Tubes and wires shoved into him, as they pronounce him dead at 3:41. So no... My dad didn't pass away. He fucking died.
