Flower shop/coffee shop AU

Hana heard the little bell chime as the florist came in but she didn’t have time to give a glance at who may have come in. Instead she gave a generic welcome as well as an assurance that she would be right with said customer. She handed off the latte macchiato to the gentleman who ordered it, her attention being grabbed by the familiar voice of her friend.

“Oh Lú! They look beautiful!” She grinned widely and got one of her co-workers to take the next order while she dealt with the delivery of the tulips. After stepping out from behind the counter, she approached the other and offered her arms to help him carry the flowers.

“They smell amazing too~ How are you??”

“Good! Well, as good as it can go. Spring is always a busy time in the shop.” The smaller man grinned widely as he handed her the four bundles of cut tulips, all in white and pink. Who would have thought such delicate things as flowers could be this heavy? He smiled a bit, looking around. “Spring event going swell, ey?” he asked. “Mind if I stay a bit?”

"I can only imagine. We just got out of one of our busier seasons. Coffee pairs nicely with the cold after all." Hana took the bundles of flowers over to an empty table to be dealt with when she got the time to properly decorate with them.

"The event is going good so far but I'm hoping the flowers will draw in some more business. They'll make the place gorgeous, I'm sure of it." She proceeded to pull out a chair for Lúcio when he asked his next question, her smile staying on her face.

"I would love for you to stay a while. Can I get you anything? Coffee? A treat? Both? It's on me~"

Hana was busy with one of her numerous livestreams she put on during the week, entertaining her fans with a rather beautiful combo kill that got her to a 30 player killstreak. She made a playful taunt in the voice chat about the players who just died being noobs as she moved forward in the game.

She stayed very focused until her phone near her empty water bottle buzzed, the screen lighting up soon after. Normally she would just glance over and leave it alone until later but when she saw that it was from Lúcio, her gaze lingered for a bit longer to try to read the message. This distraction ended up getting her killed in game and the gamer was quick to look back at her computer screen and apologize to her fans. She then went on to explain that she was going to take a quick water break before proceeding to shut off her web cam and grab her phone.

Hana put her bag over her shoulder as her head turned to look at him as he caught himself on his misunderstanding. She knew that feeling all too well but a soft giggle escaped her anyways. More so in a ‘laughing with him’ than a ‘laughing at him’ kind of way however.

“That’s very nice of you to say. I converse with our captain often to discuss strategies. We try quite hard to do the best we can. I hope to be captain when the time comes. Well.. If I am to be able to keep coming here that is.”

She didn’t feel all that ‘great’ at the moment after all. Now it wasn’t that she wasn’t thankful for her life and the way most things played out... She just felt that she had paid quite a price to get there.. Like she lost more than she had earned.

“We could learn together maybe? I don’t expect you or I to immediately master cooking or anything but it would be a good alternative to eating out all the time, you know? Healthier.” The gamer continued to try and further change the subject of the question he had asked her.

Now Hana knew that the Hufflepuff team and games weren’t as hyped up as Gryffindor and Slytherin games were but she was determined to change that with time by giving it her all. Unfortunately tonight just wasn’t their night, resulting in a pretty close loss that the chaser was a bit upset about. She had just finished chatting with some of her teammates when Lúcio started to walk over while she wrapped her black and yellow striped scarf around her neck.

Wait he was talking to her?? But he was a Slytherin? They lost and he wasn’t here to rub it in her face?

“Uhm.. Thank you.. It came pretty close, hopefully we’ll have better luck next time.. You’re… What was the name.. Lúcio right? You’re the guy with the amazing taste in music.”

Lúcio could understand as to why most of the people around here weren’t too excited to see a Slytherin making his way over to their group right after a game, quite honestly it had been something that held him back from talking to Hana for some time.

The fact that she seemed kind, and hell, remembered his name – it brings a grin that spreads ear to ear. “Yeah! I’m Lúcio, you’re Hana, we um, have a few classes together.” he’ll explain, scratching the back of his neck and keeping his gaze up towards her. “I don’t know much about the sport, so I wouldn’t be able to give you any secret pointers… but, yeah, hopefully you kick butt in the next game!
