what really like wholesome/silly headcanons do you have for kankri?
There's definitely more in the deep confines of my head that I just can't think of right now, but here are some!
Can't guarantee all of these are wholesome
⢠Although not a fan of romcoms like Karkat, Kankri secretly enjoys romance novels. He can be a sucker for a good love story if itâs imaginary.
⢠Fiddles with his sweater a lot, either using it to cover his face or grip the sleeves and mess with loose threads. The sweater has definitely been through some repairs in the past.
⢠Confides in Porrim the most out of the group, though this is only when he deems it absolutely necessary. Any other time, Kankri opts to deal with his issues alone.
⢠Hardly sleeps in the bubbles, doesnât see the meaning in it. Though, he does look tired as hell all the time, it might just be what he looked like before dying.
⢠Has a very looming aura. He definitely looks the most ghostly out of the Dancestors, aside from maybe Kurloz.
⢠Kankri can talk for hours uninterrupted, but the moment you start to interject, he will lose his place and stumble over his words. He likes to be in full control of the conversation.
⢠His feelings on quadrants are way too complicated, and will simply stick with celibacy to ignore it and focus on other things. I typically headcanon him as Asexual or Demisexual.
⢠He sees his younger self in Karkat, and strives to look after him and keep him safe whenever possible. Itâs a bit hypocritical, given that Kankri hates the coddling nature of others. He sees himself more as a mentor than anything; a guide.
⢠His love language is through words and verbal affection. As seen with Latula, Kankri is especially attentive to people he likes, often keeping note of things no one else does in an attempt to get closer to them. He rarely acts, however.
⢠His strife weapon is gunkind.
⢠He dislikes touch of any kind, or at the very least will get uncomfortable or startled at sudden movements with no warning. Physical affection is difficult for him, which is one of the more secret reasons Kankri doesnât involve himself in quadrants. He believes that physical affection is necessary for a relationship to work, which is just entirely wrong.
⢠Uses phrases like âgoodnessâ or âheavensâ or any substitute in place of swears. He has no problem with swearing, Kankri just doesnât see the purpose in it most times unless provoked. There are always better words to use.
⢠Despite his appearance of seeming ignorant on topics, Kankri knows what heâs doing most times, and deliberately says things that he knows will get his conversation partnerâs attention. Heâs been around his friends long enough to know what makes them tick, and will utilize that if necessary.
