Starter for: Brooks & Open @turtlebay-starters Location: Log Campground
Brooks was someone who always took pride in the work that he did since he was born and raised in the military. It was a type of life that he had become accustomed to. Brooks had served his time in the military before coming to Turtle Bay and to build the life that he would want for his niece and nephew who were now his children. The kids were out and about with one of his friends so Brooks was walking around the campground and taking care of things that needed some attention to. As he was finishing up, he decided to head towards the pool and he set his towel down. "It's been a long day." He said to mostly himself.

Where: The Boardwalk
The Whom: Jeffrey Matthews
Jeffrey sighed a little bit as he leaned against the Boardwalk. So far Turtle Bay had been really good to him. He got himself a boyfriend and a good job but something still felt like it was missing. Maybe it was because he was still looking for his biological family. Sure he had met some cousins who were biologically related but that was it. He was still looking for his parents and if he had any siblings. Hearing someone clear their throats, that was when he looked over at the person. "Sorry, I was up in my head." He admitted with a small smile. "I can move if you want."
It was such a beautiful day out and Bradley want to insure that he was out and enjoying it and the place that seemed to the best to have that luxury was the boardwalk. As he walked onto it, he had been thinking to himself about life and where he was really headed. He looked over at Jeffrey who seemed to be in his head so he tried his best to be nice but when he spoke to him it wasn't like he was heard. "It's all good, you're fine with where you are. I was just looking to see if you were okay but obviously it seems like you're not okay. Anything you want to talk about?"

Where: Forrest Drinks
The Whom: Cameron Brewer & ??
Cameron moved out from the back, carrying a case of beer. Restoking was something that he didn't mind doing at all. Especially if it took a load off from his employees. That was when he heard the bell and he glanced up. Giving them a welcoming smile. "Welcome in. Take a seat anywhere, if you don't know what you want. There is a menu at the table or the bar. I'll be right with ya to take your order."
Wanting to get something to drink before returning home for the night, Brooks ended up at Forrest Drinks. The kids were being watched after so he didn't have to worry about getting home to take care of them. He looked at the man who came through the back and was restocking all of the beer that needed to be replaced. "Thank you, that's nice of you." He mentioned to the other as he looked at him and then walked up to the bar. "No rush at all." Brooks said to Cameron while smiling a bit and then sat down on the stool at the bar and began to take a look at the menu.
"Definitely would be game over." Gabriella chuckled lightly. "Your grandparents already had that with Liliana and I." Looking back towards him now. "You are right about that because that is exactly what we used to do. Drove them nuts. So I am glad that you two are different genders." If there were two of him a lot of damage could probably happened. The thought alone made her head want to spin. Now there was a laugh that escaped Gabriella's lips. "I was planning on paying anyways. Come on, let's have a mom and son day." She smiled over at him before wrapping an arm around him.
"I couldn't imagine what they had to deal with you and aunt Liliana. I would have loved to see the two of you guys running around and causing havoc." He mentioned to her as he laughed softly and thought about some things that him and his sister would do and they could certainly get away with more if they were the same gender like his mother and aunt could. "I am so down for a mom and son day. Is there something that you wanted to do in general?"

Liberty smiled at Julianna with a soft nod in full agreement about the weather, especially for living in Turtle Bay which is pretty warm this time of the year. "Honestly not much. Spending as much time with my boyfriend and our kids when I am not working. Other than that I am quite a bore. Yourself?"
"That's awesome that you are spending some time with your boyfriend and kids. There's nothing wrong with being a bore because sometimes you might want to be a bore." She laughed softly. "How many kids do you guys have? Sorry if that seems like a bit much but I just love to hear about others and I have always wanted kids for myself."
Nodding his head a little bit now. "It is a dry heat. Not the best or that fun but you should still go especially if you get the chance. Maybe I can talk to my old lady and get you a free stay for a few nights at her hotel. She owns a chain of hotels." He explained, he was in fact proud of his partner and always would be. "So if you ever get the chance, let me know and I'm sure I can make it possible for you to have somewhere to stay." Honestly he didn't mind doing this. "I don't blame you." He chuckled lightly. "It's like coffee, it's good in any weather." It was nice to see the young man in a good headspace. "Yes, unfortunately we will always need the meetings. Because as much as I hate to say this without them and sponsor you could slip up. I have slipped up over the years.." He admitted.
"I would definitely enjoy going if I got the chance. I don't know if I will ever get that opportunity to the point where it wouldn't upset me if I didn't get to, but I would do it if the opportunity presented itself." He said to the older gentleman as he looked at him and smiled wide. "Well that's awesome that you're willing to offer a place for me to stay. I think that would be cool to be able to go and see what Vegas has to offer." Skylar nodded his head a bit. That would be a real test of his willpower since there was so much drinking in Vegas. "I know everybody has slip ups and we have to just move forward."
Desmond smiled as he looked at the male, "It's true for sure. Brooks is a handsome name and it fits you a handsome guy," he spoke with a charming smile. He would admit that Brooks did indeed a handsome guy. "I have a feeling it will. Just need time and with you running it and owning it," he added with a wink. "Want to get something to drink?"
Brooks wasn't sure how to go forward with the other who was certainly still flirting with him even though he brought up the face that he wasn't into guys. Brooks took a deep breath and tried to put all of that aside as he was just glad to have some company. "I'm sorry, but I'm not into guys. I want to just make that clear with you." He said to the other. "However, I am down to get something to drink, I enjoy that."

"Seems like you are popular tonight," he spoke with a smile on his face as he walked toward the male and ordered a beer. Desmond had just walked into the bar and he could already see and tell that eyes were on the male. He smiled as he looked at them. "Am not surprise, of course eyes will be on a handsome guy like yourself."
Adrian spent quite a bit of time in the bar and he felt like he couldn't get some sort of silence to himself. He wanted to have a moment where he could just relax and hang out. Adrian had ordered himself a beer and it was getting handed to him as a man walked up to him and began to speak. "Hello there. I mean, I'm pretty surprised that there's any eyes on me when you are here." Adrian replied to Desmond.
"Yeah, it did mean a lot to me and still does." It was true, Jeremy loved the theater and always would. There was sadness in Jeremy's eyes but he was doing his best not to allow it to show. Even if it was hard to do so. "It is hard at times. This past Christmas for the Vox, I did have a small part and afterwards I had to ice my knee." But it was something that he barely talked about. The pain and the sadness that came with the retirement. "If there was something I'd let you do it in a heartbeat for me." Nodding his head a little bit now. "I do miss them but going back there wasn't an option. So instead my aunt and uncle have promised to come here for a visit. But enough about me. Tell me what you have been up to lately."
Adrian could see the sadness in the other male's eyes as he looked at him and he sighed softly. He felt like he was incapable of helping Jeremy feeling better even though that's who he used to be for the other. "Well that's good that you still got to do something here and live vicariously through the Vox." He said to the other as he smiled softly and then nodded. "I'm glad that they have promised to come here and visit you, that's awesome!" He explained. "But I haven't been up to much honestly. I have just been trying to make it through each day." Adrian explained to him. "I took a job at the college as an english professor and I'm really enjoying it. I thought high school is where I was meant to be, but I think that college students are easier."

Liberty was in the park getting some needed air along with time away from work. Yes she loved to be a manager in the sports world yet she needed time to just escape to reality that did not just involve sports. As he was walking by she realized someone said something and saw Julianna which she smiled at softly, "Hi, you, I am really good. How are you? And yes today really is nice and I had to take advantage of it."
"I'm doing well, thank you for asking. I appreciate it honestly." She replied to the woman and then nodded her head slowly. "Right? I feel like I am wasting an opportunity if I don't take advantage of the nice weather." She said to Liberty as Julianna then grabbed her water bottle and took a sip from it. Even then it was very nice out, she wanted to make sure that she stayed hydrated because she did always tend to want to hydrate and have a water bottle in her hand. "What have you been up to lately? Anything fun and exciting in your life?"
Nodding his head a little bit. "Yeah it has been." It seemed like the other guy was in a better headspace now. Which was a good thing in his eyes. Smiling over at him a little bit. "That is great to hear. The weather has been nice but also very hot. But then again I did live in Vegas for a bit. So this is a bit on the mild side for me. But hot tea is good at anytime." He stated. "I'm good actually. Just going to meetings and working. Even though I've been sober for years now, I still go and I run them."
A lot had been going on with Skylar since he came to Turtle Bay and his mental health was seeming to get better and better as time progressed. He had learned some healthy habits throughout his time in therapy and he was still attending the outpatient services of his therapy and it was working quite well. "Oh so you are used to the extreme kind of heat when you talk about Vegas. I heard it's very dry kind of heat there but I have never been there. I'd like to go but I don't know if I'll ever have that opportunity and I would be okay with that." He replied. "I do enjoy some hot tea regardless of the weather outside." Skylar said while looking at him and smirking. It was a nice feeling to be in a positive head space. "That's awesome that you still go to meetings because even though it's been years you can still need them."
"That is all that seems to be going on here. Is everyone just going." Sawyer stated, looking back towards him still. Listening to the other man speak, he nodded his head a little bit. "Isn't that the point of coming out? To have a good time that is. If not then I must be doing it wrong or something. No need to take themselves too seriously while they are out. Or at least I think that is how it goes."
"Sometimes you can't be upset with just going. Sometimes boring can be nice and you don't have to worry about much going on." He explained to the other as he shrugged a bit and then nodded. "It is the point of coming out and have a good time, that is correct so I don't know what's wrong with them but I can't be bothered with it honestly."
Sawyer wasn't sure what he was even doing here anymore. He hadn't spoken to Christian or anyone else really in that family. As much as he knew that he had to do so. He just couldn't bring himself to do. So maybe that was why he was out here tonight. Just to get away from everything. Moving over to the bar, he ordered himself a drink. That was when he heard the other male, looking over at him for a moment. "Hey. Uhh..it's going. How about you?"
"I would say about the same thing, it's going." Dillon mentioned to Sawyer as he looked at him and then shrugged his shoulders a bit. "I am just here having some drinks and hanging around the bar. I came with some coworkers who are having their own conversations about other things that I'm not interested in. I am trying to have a good time and they are taking themselves too seriously."
Hunter moved into the coffee shop, ordering his drink. Getting it, he looked around a little bit before seen Skylar. The man from last time. Moving over to him, he smiled and then sat down across from him. "Thank you. It's nice to see you again." He took a small sip of his coffee. "How are things going for you?" Honestly he was hoping that he ran into him again.
"Yes, it's nice to see you again. I know it's been a minute since we've seen one another." He mentioned to the older gentleman as he looked at him and smiled softly. He felt like he was in a different headspace from when he saw the other recently. "Things are going well. I'm just having some tea and enjoying the weather. I know that it's been hot out but I can always have some hot tea." He said. "How about you? How are things going with you?"

The summer air was flowing through Dillon's veins. He was always out and partying like there was no tomorrow. Today was the day though that he had joined a few friends out at the bar. He was cordial with them obviously as he was hanging out with them but he was looking for something more to do with his night and then he laid his eyes on a guy who was at the bar ordering a drink. Dillon walked up to him and he smiled softly, "Hey, how's it going tonight?"

Julianna was sitting in the grass of the park as she was drawing in her book. She definitely wasn't an artist to begin with, but she did enjoy drawing to hang out. She sighed to herself as she looked out at the park that kids were playing at and she was hanging out and listening to the music coming out of her earbud before she looked up and saw someone coming up to her, "Oh hey! How are you? It's so nice out today!"
