All our icons are dead.Ā
Strongest taste Loudest drop Head is filled The thought, unlocked You'd be thirteen I'd be thirty-five Gone to find a place for us to Hide Be together but alone As the need for it has grown Cha-cha, cha-cha, cha-cha Cha-cha, cha-cha A cave or a shed A car or a bed A hole in the ground Or a burial mound A bush or a tree Or the Aegean see will do for me Cha-cha, cha-cha, cha-cha Cha-cha, cha-cha-haa I can say that you look pretty You turn my legs into spaghetti You set my heart on fire For you I found a vent In the bottom of a coal mine Just enough space for your hands in the inside If you go Do let me know You'd be thirteen I'd be thirty-five Gone to find a place for us to hide A den or a dessert Perhaps an ink squirt A cellar, a wishing well, a war Or a guarantee will do for me For you I found a cell On the top floor of a prison Just enough space for you to fit your feet in If you go Do let me know For you I found a cell On the top floor of a prison Just enough space for you to fit your feet in If you go Please let me know I go running with a heart on fire

You watch and let it slip Through your fingers again Transfixed in escapism Beyond reach to comprehend To find a way inside Past mind conditioned, fixed The picture yours but not mine Begging to be part of this How can this be an everything When closed eyes anchor the weight? Trying to live in the real world Of perfection, such beauty Decay You questioned everything Confused by existence No art hangs in this house now How could any make sense? You exhibit sorrow And I should know No trust in tomorrow Keeping yourself to yourself

Through the Looking Glass
I'll be your woman with unwavering eyes Aflame with the spirits and the mysteries of life The hands of a healer and a samurai I'll be your woman and you can be mine I'll be the gypsy on a path through the trees The deal maker with front row seats Who turns from the armchair and the picket line I'll be your woman and you can be mine Not your princess, not your stallion- An ambiguous complex creature Not your teacher, not your shivering doll- But hunkier than your neighbor Not your mummy, not your daddy- I'm over being daddy Not your stallion, don't you lay down- Get yourself a sailor I'll be the mirror where you are a queen Your fellow magician of the waking dream Hung with a hammer and a glass of wine I'll be your woman and you can be mine
even when a superheroās knocked down, heās still a superhero

When we come to music festivals, we want an experience that brings us closer than ever to the music and culture weāre encountering. One where the artists and the audience blend into one, and ideas can be exchanged in an open, engaging manner. Since our beginning in 2010, PlisskĆ«n Festival has sought to establish just that, right here in the birthplace of creativity: Athens, Greece. And each year, we only look to improve what we can.
So we were excited to receive the latest recognition: PlisskĆ«n was named one of Europeās 33 Best Intimate Festivals!
Flightnetwork, Europeās leading travel agency, ranked our festival as a must-see for those looking for that close connection to the artists and performers present. Hereās what they had to say about us:
āAthens is one of the most famous cities in world history. The capital of the ancient Greek empire, it is a living artifact of our past, with temples and public spaces still perfectly preserved for that time. But many people do not know that Athens also has an incredible festival scene, and one of its best hidden gems is the PlisskĆ«n Festival. This two-day event at the end of the year is for the experimental-leaningāartists that are blurring genres and creating new sounds are welcomed here, as the festival seeks to create a community that will appreciate and encourage those knocking down walls in music. All in the heart of where creative thought and philosophy got serious.ā
This upcoming December, we cannot wait to welcome everyone back to Athens for an experience like no otherāand that includes any Flightnetwork readers. In the meantime, be sure to check out FlightnetworkāsĀ Facebook and Twitter.
The Shack was a tiny backroom off Washingtonās parentsā house in Inglewood and itās the place where, Mosley says, the band learned to feed off each other and explore music outside the realm of a strict curriculum.
āWe would go back there all the time and just work on music, play fast and loud, try new tunes, new chord stuff, and it was really a breeding ground for a lot of formative playing and experimenting with what we thought was the type of expression we wanted to see,ā he says. āWe didnāt know what we were doing so we were just back there.ā
The result is a musical connection that is both learned and natural, one thatās based in theory but also a growing desire to explore beyond what you studied in school.
āYou spend 25 years making music with someone, you know what they are up to,ā he says.
