i need the boyz to leave kingdom now
The end of the world is near, and you’re sitting on your patio step smoking a pack of cigarettes, all while your childhood friend spends his last hours trying to convince you that there’s meaning in life.
The air is thick with the scent of rotting meat. You catch a whiff of some of your family; the perfume your mother used to wear, the musk of your father dabbling with the stench of burnt innards and old saliva. You wrinkle your nose and try to focus on your cigarette.
Eric is covered in blood and batting at your knees. He aims for the stick in your hand but you grab him just in time to glare. He meets you with a look that is just as unimpressed.
“You’re really gonna go out like this?” He asks, his voice hoarse from screaming and crying and ranting. “Your whole life, just boom—gone?!”
Really, it shouldn’t be surprising. You never did mirror his ferocity a day in your life. Always cynical, with just enough snarky pessimism to make life interesting enough. Your friends used to tease you, say that quality is what makes you two work so well. It’s the perfect dynamic!
God, you wish they were still here.
You swat Eric away once again, ignoring the way he sinks back all forlorn. He’s the last person you’ve got, and you would rather die right here, right now, than to witness another precious person of yours fall. That’s the point you want him to understand.
“My life has already gone, with all my friends and family. Listen, doesn’t it sound better to just reconnect up there—in the afterlife, than to run around looking for places that aren’t already filled with lost or corrupted souls?” To him—and to you, to some extent—this sounds like utter gibberish. You, of all people, believing in an afterlife? You, of all people, getting all spiritual and reverent on him? Casting your gaze downward, you flick off the butt of your cig, and exhale a sooty breath.
Silence rains over you both, passing by through swift, putrid winds. An alarm sounds. Your heart descends deep inside, you almost lurch, but you hold it in, taking another drag. Eric is very much bothered by your complicity, makes no attempt to hide his disturbance. He’s shaking, from head to toe, his hair looks much like the dead leaves hanging onto the trees. So he tries again, placing his hands on your leg and gripping them tight.
Sniffing, you hear, and droplets fall in your periphery. You don’t look up to confirm, wouldn’t dare It would break you to see your childhood friend hanging on by his last thread. If there’s one thing you can mirror him on, it’s this. It’s the desperation to protect all dear to you. Except here, it’s obvious your definitions of ‘protect’ are on opposite poles.
Eric calls your name softly. You hum.
“You would rather leave me?” He can barely get himself through the words, his voice cracking. You have to squeeze your eyes shut to steady yourself before looking back at him.
And it hurts, seeing that anguish inside Eric’s eyes. It manifests physically in every sense; his shirt is drenched and covered in blood, his palms are coated in sweat, his grip seems to loosen with each attempt to tighten.
And your chest, oh, God! You feel like you’ve sunken into yourself. The world around you no longer seems real, this moment shared between you and him, a dream for all you know and care. It’s too much effort to feel anything at this moment. Dread crawls up your body like exhaustion. And really, it’s too, too much!
You snub out your cigarette and shove Eric’s hands off, decidedly.
You stand up, walk a few steps away just to breath. Eying the night sky, counting the stars and tracing the clouds’ patterns. Eric’s bike lays on its side beside you.
The alarm blares on.
There isn’t enough time to make it out anyway.
i am not the shakespear that i think i am.
There would be no other day like today. Where time is precious, when moments come to be lost forever, you cannot allow yourself to pass up any more. You will not. You will pull on your tattered coat, dust off your saddle shoes and hush your stationed horses—ssh, not today; when a day rears close on its anxiety-driven metal wheels, then the appreciation of serenity is in order.
Today, the doors will glide instead of creak. The floor will come hardened instead of splintered. You will climb upon a new form of transportation, and ride it from the wilderness-shrouded cabin you call your home. Your heart will beat fast, your mind will think of nothing but everything. But you will learn to enjoy it.
Except...there is a man sat in front of you. The train rode in from Nowhere to the East, and inside, when you climbed aboard, there was no one except you and this man. He hummed to himself, wrapped his lips around wordless lyrics. His gaze flickered from the trees whizzing behind you to the fabric of your clothes, the split soles on your shoes. You tried to keep your face stoic, like you weren’t also comparing the quality difference between you and what a respectable human should look like. Your chest squeezed, heart beating fast in a way you did not enjoy.
ive had this fic thats just already been completed but is just sitting there bc im too lazy to make a graphic for it :/

snippet
You felt silly for having such a strong reaction to something so small, especially under that strong gaze of his. But the edges of his eyes crinkled as he observed you. He broke off more pieces, gave them to you, and didn’t stop until all that was left was a shiny wrapper that he crumpled and shoved into his pocket.
The exchange ended there. He stood up, hung on tightly to the railing as the train jerked into its station. You thought that was it, and was ready to dive back into the book that was currently sliding off the edge of your lap. Then, he tapped you on your shoulder.
He pulled his hood over his head with a smile and said, “I’m Sunwoo.”

HELP IVE BEEN HACKED
Hi :) May I request a fluff with kevin where you both like each other and the members rat him out pls? Thx
wc: 2.1k | CW: one (1) mention of weed
Saturday called your name. You had to wait painfully as the day dragged its feet through presentations and lectures. By the time the school day ended, you held no more excitement for the weekend as you sat in one of the university’s lounges waiting for your friend to drive you home.
All tuckered out from discussing and convincing your classmates of topics neither of you particularly cared about, you almost ignored Kevin when he approached you, phone two-inches from your face, headphones blaring in your ears at maximum volume, but then you remembered that he’s Kevin Moon, and when he’s got something to say, you listen.
“Sorry to interrupt you there,” he started, and from his backpack he pulled out a small container of—, “Brownies. I had baked them this morning and wanted to give some to you as thanks.”
“Oh,” was all you squeaked out, though it wasn’t a sound of disappointment or even mild surprise. You had heard about Kevin’s godly baking skills, from the full mouths of those he generously gave them to. Usually his classmates, sometimes the professors, and it was enough to instill that hope that maybe you'll be one of the receivers one day. Today, it seemed like an arbitrary gift. “Thanks for what?”
“For helping me with my group project.”
“Oh...Oh, yeah!” You gently took the container from Kevin’s hands. Soft confusion still lingering in your mind. “It wasn’t that big of a deal, I barely helped.”
“We got an A because of you!”
“Are you sure it was me? Because last I remembered, you guys did all the brute work, I just filled in the minor details.”
“Aren’t minor details the toughest part?”
You shrugged. You took a single brownie out of the container and put the rest in your bag. Kevin watched as you bit into it, humming a gleeful tune at the way you melted. It tasted even better than you expected. “This is too good to eat for free. How much do you want? Twenty dollars? Fifty?”
Kevin bit down a smile and waved his hand, sheepish. You noticed a brown mark on the back of his hand that wasn’t there the last time you saw him. You figured he must’ve burned himself.
“You’re just gassing my head.”
“No, I’m serious.” Kevin looked pleased to see you finish his brownie. “Did the others get some?”
The others being Sunwoo, Jacob, and Juyeon, the three who were assigned to the same project. You were actually called to help by Sunwoo, who pleaded and whined and bargained after your many attempts to say no, you had too much on your plate. Then, as a last resort, he began naming his teammates; guilted you with Jacob, tried to lure you in with Juyeon, and finally—the nail in the coffin—mentioned Kevin. You could imagine the cocky face Sunwoo must’ve had when he realized he had reeled you in.
You gave up on trying to deny his accusations. You wouldn’t say you had a full-blown crush on Kevin Moon, but you were definitely fond of him in a way that could be described as infatuation.
Now that the project’s done, you would see to Sunwoo’s promised reparations for the emotional damages he dealt. You were pretty sure he owed you five free milk tea bobas.
“The others?” Kevin’s face contorted in confusion for a split moment, like he had already forgotten who had worked diligently on the project with him. He didn’t sound completely sure of himself when he answered, “yes, they did. I baked an extra large batch for everyone involved. Even gave some to the professor.”
“Is that why you have that burn mark?”
Kevin looked down at his hand before covering it with the other. “Oh, that. Yeah, this is what happens when you have an oven only as big enough as you can afford.”
“When I say I feel that…” You became increasingly aware of the dwindling topics to speak about, so before an awkward silence has time to settle in, you stand up from your seat and raise a hand for Kevin to shake. “My friend is probably waiting outside for me right now. Thank you again for the treat, really appreciate it! I’ll make sure to share some with her to spread the love around. Seriously, you should patent that recipe.”
“Learned from the best,” Kevin chuckled. “Thank you for helping. See ya later.”
“See ya!” And you were outside less than a minute later.
Maybe you were the one that owed Sunwoo free drinks.
