Red: I believe that, regardless of his musical talent, Frederick was already doomed to be casted out since the start.

I do believe that their initial distaste of him (from his markings due to what I believe is Chimerism) also played a role in him “not being up to par with the Kreiburgs.” That’s mainly because, you don’t like someone/don’t enjoy their presence, you become a lot more nitpicky and critical, even about the smallest things.
