Type I relationships are based on the astrological aspects Trine (120 degrees from your birth sign, your “siblings by element”) and Sextile (60 degrees, the elemental siblings of your opposite sign); they are under the positive influence of Jupiter and Venus, regarded largely as “aspects of luck and love”. These operate on the principles of “opposites attract” and “like attracts like” without the conflict of authority being an issue. Type II relationships are based on the Semisextile (30 degrees, basically the neighbouring sign), Conjunction (0-10 degrees, or your sign) and Opposition (180 degrees, the opposite sign).
