Welcome to Plantenabler, a blog all about people and their plants, plant care and other planty accessories. The blog will follow the trials and tribulations of my own 60 odd collection of houseplants from my tiny apartment in Victoria, BC, along with providing tips, tricks, general education and design ideas for living a green, lush life.  I started trying to turn my thumb green about a year ago when an influx of plant-life began being integrated into new designs of homes, workplaces and public spaces in a more significant way, I wanted in on that! This, my friends, did not start out well! I killed many plants and learned a lot of lessons. I always sought out books and websites but could not find anyone operating at my level in an affordable, non-time consuming way. Owning plants also seemed very expensive, I wanted to green without spending so much green! I want to create a one-stop shop for the plant owner who is just starting out and for the seasoned professionals who need some creative inspiration. The blog bridges the gap between gazing at pictures of beautiful plant-y spaces on Instagram and actually making it a reality in your own space. In today’s social media world, you should be able to access realistic, specific information that is up to date! This blog will serve that purpose. Of course, everything is better with friends; I will be featuring the social media accounts of fellow Plantenablers as well as their own tips and tricks. Get that watering can ready. Let’s go grow!
