I’m gonna to rant because people in this fandom had me mad.
Literally nothing was wrong with Ashley Seaver, Alex Blake, or Kate Callaghan. Tara Lewis, Matt Simmons, and Luke Alvez weren’t even as bad as people make them out to be. I’m gonna be honest, and y’all will get pissed, but some of you are just whiny bitches who can’t accept change. There. I said it.
Characters wanted to leave, other characters wanted the job. What are you gonna do? Say “nah, we’ll just keep going with the three people we have” ? No. You’re gonna fill the positions. I liked the other characters. Kate was my favorite. Nobody was replacing anybody. It wasn’t like they had Seaver be the new Press Liason and called her JJ as if we wouldn’t notice. She had her own little backstory and only mentioned her father when it helped with cases. Y’all just love dragging shit.
Another thing. Elle wasn’t even a bad person. She went through something traumatic and didn’t deal with it the right way, so she made a mistake. The others have done worse. Her character worked really well with the team, even if it wasn’t as good as Emily’s. And I love how y’all talking about replacements, but forgot that, technically, Emily and Rossi were both replacements. But we’re not ready for that conversation yet, right?
Speaking of, Gideon wasn’t that bad of a person. He just had his own tactics. He could be blunt and forget about other people’s feeling, but Rossi was worse in his first three episodes. When you’re in the BAU for as long as they were it takes a lot on your life force. Especially after Sarah, we can’t blame the guy. (Even I’ll admit, though, I was mad at him for abandoning Reid. But that’s really it.)
