.☘︎ ݁˖༘⋆ Was so shocked when you first told him. It wasn’t like a stressful type of shocked just a genuine astonishment of “she loves me so much she’s having a baby with me. With me!! A baby! She loves me!” He was quite literally jumping for joy with you in his arms. Then suddenly putting you down once he realized maybe he shouldn’t be squeezing the daylights out of you if you have a baby inside you now. He makes a mental note to work on that.

But once your feet are on the ground and he’s not squeezing you, he’s covering you in kisses, making excited squealing noises while holding you close to him, now much more gently. You giggle as the peppering of hundreds of kisses tickles your skin. And now he’s giggly too. He’s just an excited mess right now ♥︎

.☘︎ ݁˖༘⋆ Won’t let you do anything that could be potentially dangerous. Especially the further along you are with your pregnancy, the more he won’t let you do. It gets to the point where he is carrying you up and down the stairs because he’s scared you’re just gunna pop the second your foot touches that bottom step. It may be a little overbearing but he’s just trying his best to keep his family safe.

.☘︎ ݁˖༘⋆ I think his lack of sex ed definitely makes him a bit more paranoid. He just doesn’t really know how it works fully but he wants to know everything there is to know about it so he can take better care of you. I mean- your wife is telling you she has a baby in her uterus and you don’t even know what a uterus is, must be a bit scary. But explain what you can to him calmly and slowly walk him through it, it would ease his mind a bit.

.☘︎ ݁˖༘⋆ Always tries his best to appeal to your cravings. He’s so sweet, he’ll literally get up in the middle of the night to make you food if you even slightly mention wanting something. And don’t let him catch your tummy growling! He’ll be in there trying to cook you up a feast at 2 in the morning.

.☘︎ ݁˖༘⋆ Takes over your chores. He literally will not let you do them. Even if you want to help he refuses and tells you to go rest. He doesn’t want you overworking yourself! It’s already tough enough growing a baby in you, just sit this one out let him take care of it ♥︎

.☘︎ ݁˖༘⋆ Loves touching and “talking” (the best he can) to your belly. The first time he felt the baby kick his face lit up. He was so shocked, like woah there actually is a little guy in there! And it moves!!! It especially blows his mind when the baby responds to his voice. He looks up to see your reaction as if to say, “did you see that!!!” So much excitement !! ♥︎

.☘︎ ݁˖༘⋆ Speaking of touching, massagessss! He will rub you up and down just say the word and he’s on it. Rubbing your back and your hips whenever they get tight from all the tension, massaging your feet while watching tv together on the couch. He loves touching you (not in a sexual way, not to say that doesn’t happen but mainly just intimate. Very gentle and lovingly.) and he also loves to help, so if he can help you by touching you? He’s definitely gunna do it, no questions asked.

.☘︎ ݁˖༘⋆ Was already pretty damn protective over his lover but now it’s cranked up to like 1000. But not just protective when it comes to keeping you safe from people but also just looking out for you constantly. Making sure you don’t bump into anything, or even worse possibly fall!! He could never let that happen on his watch.

But trust he is definitely also protective the other way, being more willing to rip and tear through anyone who could possibly pose a threat to his sweetheart now than ever. Very vigilant whenever you go out into the town for groceries, which you always go to together, mainly because he just loves spending time with you, but also he feels a need to act as your guard dog wherever you go.

.☘︎ ݁˖༘⋆ Has you wear his clothes as the baby bump gets too big for your own wardrobe. He thinks it’s extra cute seeing you in his shirt, carrying his baby.

.☘︎ ݁˖༘⋆ Was so proud to tell his family about the news. No one ever thought Bubba was gunna be the one to continue on the Sawyer family name but uh.. surprise!

Would definitely make Grandpa happy, as a way of continuing on his legacy. I think Drayton would enjoy the idea of it for the same reason as well.

Nubbins and Choptop are more so genuinely excited for their little brother, congratulating him in their own kinda-fucked-up-kinda-sweet way and excited to meet the new family member. They also enjoy talking to the baby bump but sometimes they’re so rowdy (mainly Nubbins) that Bubba feels the need to step in. Even if what Nubbins was doing wasn’t really that bad, Bubba’s just so overprotective right now to let anything make you uncomfortable in the slightest given the state you’re currently in.

.☘︎ ݁˖༘⋆ Definitely one of those guys to get sympathy pains. Obviously he doesn’t really care for the pain part of it but it does make him feel closer to you, and makes him feel a bit better about the whole thing (feeling as though he’s the one responsible for the pain pregnancy causes since ya know.. he’s the one that got you pregnant.) so him also being in pain makes him feel like it’s a bit more fair. If he could have it his way he would be the one carrying the baby for you.

That sense of guilt is also apart of why he makes sure to take care of you extra extra good while you’re pregnant and after giving birth. You tell him there’s nothing to feel guilty for and that you wanted this and it’ll ease his mind temporarily, but he’ll still feel bad like 10 minutes later when he sees you waddling to the toilet to go throw up.

.☘︎ ݁˖༘⋆ Just so full of genuine excitement and love. He’s gunna love this baby no matter what.

.☘︎ ݁˖༘⋆ Also kinda random but i feel like this man would make babies that look just like him omg. Like copy and paste. It would be a really heartwarming lesson for him to learn to love and accept his own face once he sees it on his child that he loves and adores oh so much.

.☘︎ ݁˖༘⋆ (nsfw mention here) He would have no problem waiting the 6 weeks or more for you to recover before having sex again. And when you do he’s going to be extra gentle and let you take control. Extra caressing on the hips and tummy, his way of saying thank you for carrying his child.

⋆𐙚₊˚⊹🍒 First off, this guy has dirt under his finger nails like constantly. Drayton has to yell at him to remind him to wash his hands, especially before dinner. “You coonshit! I don’t want you going in there dirtying up all that food!" So sometimes Drayton has Bubba fix him a plate so he isn’t touching everyone’s food trying to make a plate for himself.

Speaking of hands I feel like he also bites his finger nails/ bites the skin on his fingers in general

⋆𐙚₊˚⊹🍏 He has a bad habit of picking at scabs, I think he would also lick the blood from it once the scab comes off

⋆𐙚₊˚⊹🐞 I feel like he really likes dogs. Or at least like feral dogs, I think this guy has tried to get up and close with a coyote a couple times before. He’s the type of guy to be being actively mauled by an animal and he’ll still try to pick it up again after.

Basically just no self preservation at all.

⋆𐙚₊˚⊹🍀 It may just be how he burned up that photo in the van but it makes me think he would enjoy burning things and fire in general. Kinda a primal fixation on the flame once it’s high enough.

⋆𐙚₊˚⊹🍎 Very random but I feel like he was picky eater growing up and it would drive Drayton absolutely insane. Also makes it more ironic that as an adult the man will eat straight up grubs like that one scene from the lion king LMAO

Like those salted cricket snacks and spider inside of the lollipop things are made for him. He is the target demographic.

⋆𐙚₊˚⊹🍏 This one is a little crazy but hear me out… he might have BPD (I HAVE IT TOO DONT CANCEL ME) but seeing how quickly and dramatically his mood changes and how BPD is a trauma based disorder I could definitely see it as a possibility.

⋆𐙚₊˚⊹🍒 A little bonus: growing up his dynamic between himself, Choptop and Drayton (before Bubba was born) was basically just SpongeBob and Patrick annoying the shit out of Squidward. It’s still kinda that way as grown ups but now Drayton will just ask Bubba to deal with them instead.
