This is the blog for PJO Disability Week! It will run from the 12th to 18th of July, because July is disability pride month.
Inspired by @nicodiangeloappreciationweek, there will be voting for this event, in each medium, from the 26th to the first of August.
The winner the visual medium category can choose to make their art either the banner or the profile for the next year.
You can add your work, if it is on AO3, to the collection here. It is not mandatory.
Prompt submissions will run from the 28th of May until the 6th of June. Prompts do not have to be disability focused, and please submit as many prompts as you want. Link here
Rules
The event will run from the 12th to 18th of July, and posting will remain open until the 25th of July. All of these dates are in the EST time zone. Time zone converter here
Every fic must be centered around a disability of some sort. Yes, that includes intellectual disabilities, physical disabilities, learning disabilities, etc. And yes, ADHD counts, but I would also implore you to expand beyond that.
Despite the name of this blog, any Riordanverse work is accepted here
You do not have to participate in every day, one day is enough
Any medium counts, whether that be fics, art, edits, mood boards, or anything else
There is no minimum requirement for any submission, but please do what you would consider a "finished" piece. All skill levels are welcome.
The only exception is NO GENERATIVE AI. Use of generative AI will result of permanent and immediate ban
Even still, there will be no witch hunts for AI here.
Your works can be NSFW or SFW, I don't care as long you tag/warn for it appropriately
All ships are allowed, no, we are not getting into morality bullshit here. Don't like, don't read.
No hate of any sort will be tolerated here. You will be immediately blocked and banned if you try and be intentionally cruel.
Please try and do some research if you're writing about a disability that you don't know much about.
Ableism will not be tolerated here, along with the suffering Olympics of who "has it worse"
If you are doing some variety of visual submission, please try and add an image description or alt text, either in text in the post or in the alt text, so that people using screen readers can enjoy your submission too. Tutorial here
To get your work counted, please tag this blog in your work, and use the tag pjo disability week
