pretty sure team rocket was after said pov MC, so obviously they head off in pursuit

whatever pokemon james has with him, he uses some kind of psychic move to read MC's mind, and realizes that MC has seen all of the pokemon anime and therefore knows all their disguise tricks

AND HIS RESPONSE TO THIS REVELATION IS TO IMMEDIATELY TRY AND KILL THEM

LIKE I'M FAIRLY CERTAIN HE LITERALLY GOES "We're going to have to kill this child" and the other two are just "WHAT"

eventually the police get there and the kid is like "THIS GUY TRIED TO FREAKING KILL ME"

and it's implied he's supposed to either agree with or refute said claim

but james is just dead silent and unremorseful and the kid just says in this low disgusted tone
