cult where leader is obsessed with Docet the tyrant known for their blinding light so they manipulate the folk into isolating themselves into a gigantic clam, telling them the world outside is deadly and their god has commanded them to stay within the radiant walls of the clam and sacrifice themselves to the overgrown parasite that's been eating off the creature that formerly lived inside the clam, in order to have the deity notice them and take them to heaven or something like that- they conveniently named the parasite the messenger

so the parasites breed fast because of the human sacrifices so they're used for sustenance and seen as a "gift" from docet but nobody knows that they're just monster parasites except for the leader, the missionaries are the only ones allowed to go outside in search of anything that'd help prolong the cult and yeah

also docet only cares about avian sticks so these lads will rot away in that clam unfortunately
