Thin Thursday Calling these three pieces the “greatest hits” of the seventeenth century seems a bit like boiling down the greatest hits of the twentieth to the “Love Me Do”, “Time Is on My Side”, and “Knights in White Satin”. Not bad music, just pretty limited in scope. Plus, most of this music isn’t from the seventeenth century, anyway.
