A Las Vegas Lagunitas IPA Afternoon Off The Strip
The springtime desert sun at Off The Strip in Las Vegas hits that "Goldilocks" zone for us from the Pacific Northwest; not too cold, not yet a furnace, just pure, golden perfection. And this is the place if you’re looking to dodge the casino floor hustle and bustle and enjoy a slice of people-watching patio paradise.
During our latest trip, we posted up at Off The Strip at The LINQ Promenade and it was the ultimate people-watching perch right across from the iconic towers of Caesars Palace. The vibe? Relaxing, open air, and exactly where you want to be when the spring breeze is kicking through the valley.
The Pour: Lagunitas IPA at Off The Strip
When the Nevada sun is tapping on your shoulder and you've grown tired of walking from venue to venue, you need something that cuts through the heat and dryness but brings enough character to match the Vegas Strip. Enter Lagunitas IPA.
It’s a classic for a reason. This isn’t one of those "experimental" brews that tastes like a pine tree had a fight with a grapefruit; it’s balanced, bold, and incredibly reliable. The clear, copper-gold color, the big citrus notes, and the caramel malt punch at 6.2% ABV, looks and smells like "vacation" from the trade show blitz.
Taking Time to Relax in Las Vegas
Sitting at Off The Strip, you’re in the heart of the action but feel just far enough away to breathe. Watching the sunlight hit the fountains across the street while the condensation drips off a cold pint glass? That’s the Vegas dream, minus the 3:00 AM regrets.
The Lagunitas IPA has just enough zest to pair perfectly with a plate of "Chicken Parm", a burger, or some salty appetizers. The hops play off the salt, the carbonation scrubs the palate, and suddenly, you’re ready for round two.
Wee Verdict
If you find yourself in Las Vegas this spring, skip the overpriced lobby bar. Head to the Promenade, grab a seat outside at Off The Strip, and tell them you need a Lagunitas IPA.
It’s hoppy, it’s refreshing, and in a town built on glitz and glamour, it’s a reminder that sometimes the best thing in Las Vegas is a cold craft beer and a warm breeze.
WeeBeers Cheers, Las Vegas style!

Lagunitas Brewing's A Little Sumpin' Sumpin'

Lagunitas Hazicus Maximus Hazy IPA (Picked up at Total Wine in San Diego). A 3 of 4. Smells of orange citrus and some fainter tropical notes, and like the original Maximus, this is big and boozy. Nice and resinous towards the finish and a pretty aggressive finish for a hazy IPA.
