One of the biggest travesties this show will leave us with (esp with Jesse all of a sudden leaving) is the absolute lack of good and consistent writing for the talent they’ve had on this show. Jesse and Tracy are awesome on their own, amazing together on screen, and this show has wasted a lot of time and episodes to highlight and take advantage of that. They have/had the viewers and fandom for it. The end for Jays character and ultimately Upstead, unless they work out a way for Jesse to come back, just feels forced, sloppy, and so out of character that it’s hard to understand.

Not even getting a full season either?! This just sucks. Feels like it completely came from left field.

To say Im stunned to hear that Jesse is leaving PD is an understatement. I was not prepared for that kind of announcement.

If this storyline is going by way of the Al storyline, I absolutely do not want it. For so many reasons. Do not make me hate this show.

Also, this is where I dislike the way Chicago PD seems to be on character episode kicks, because they completely give up consistency in the storyline. They don’t have to, even with specific character driven episodes, but they do. And that’s where that ending tonight is gonna be super frustrating, especially when they don’t address it next week.

Voight manipulating Hailey into staying quiet, especially to Jay, and making her feel the guilt she does, and then being the one to tell Jay the truth is some real bullshit.

I do NOT want an Upstead engagement right now. At all. For any reason. No, no and no.

I’m so ready for Sharpwin to rise this season. That trailer makes the waiting harder.

Not necessarily Upstead related but...I just really really really want Vanessa back. Can she magically appear again next season? I mean we didn’t acknowledge her existence this season and watching season 7 reruns all day yesterday gave me feels again. Bring her back.

How does Hailey...and Jay for that matter when he finds out-continue to work for/with Voight? Voight manipulated her into shooting Kent, made sure that douchecanoe could reach his weapon and a struggle would ensue forcing her to shoot him and ultimately Voight gets what he wanted in the end and at Haileys expense. And then instead of calling it in because it was a good shoot, tells her to go and does what he did. She was in shock and she listened and he could literally be the downfall of her career. Ain’t no way this doesn’t come out and cause problems. I have no doubt Jay will see the red flag Hailey is waving with her marriage comment, will try to figure out what the hell happened, and go from there but WTF I am not happy with Voight at all. The more I think about the end scenes, the more angry I get about where this might go.

I’m gonna reserve my judgement for after the finale (and no I don’t think Upstead is breaking up-I also trust the writers 0 percent, so could be 100 percent wrong on that front), but my biggest gripe this season, which sounds like it may continue into the finale, is the way they seem to be regressing Haileys character (even more) and her decision making/lines when it comes to policing.
