“Mapping, gathering information… You don’t need a pretty pistol to
do that. You just need eyes to know that this place is a dump.”
Idiotic commentary from Jacob aside, what Aloy said does make the most sense. It was common practice with reaching a vantage point for him, too. Him and Evie mapped the place out, which gave them an easier time to run around the entire boroughs that London had to offer.
“They probably want us to all get to know each other, or something.
Or maybe they don’t want to deal with people shooting at each other.
You could easily shoot someone with this, y’know.”
Though would it even have an effect on someone? Jacob wasn’t really looking to find out and thankfully he was with people who weren’t too interested in finding out either. Well, hopefully - he didn’t know Arno too well but they were from the Brotherhood, which meant Arno probably wasn’t too interested in shooting him. Caster, however, was an entirely different story. Maybe it’s best to keep the gun away from him, otherwise he’d be known as something like Gunster.
“What could be worse than death, Spellster? A little time with us
isn’t that bad!”
A serious person and someone who didn’t take everything seriously - this was going to be a combination. Before anyone could say anything else, though, the radar began to beep a little. Not greatly, but it was pointing them in the right direction.
“Looks like ‘Fancy Pistol’ here wants us to go that way. Let’s keep
moving.”

— ❝ The only reason I can think of is that there’s potential dangers out there that would stop people from competing the task, ❞ she answers Arno honestly, offering a small shrug of her shoulders as she does so. Truthfully she also didn’t see a lot of reason behind it because, after all, she’s a person used to doing much on her own… Not only that, but the seeker is rather confident in her abilities. However, it crosses her mind that others who aren’t used to situations such as these have been roped into it and as such, begins to finds the idea of teams a smart move…
For those particular people, in any case.
Though as Jacob begins to speak once more, unnecessarily egging Avicebron on, the anointed can only offer him a furrow of her brows in response. While she’s sure the Caster would ignore his comments regardless, potentially causing problems between their small team isn’t in their best interests. Before she can offer any other reply, however, the radar begins to beep faintly, causing the redhead’s attention to look to the radar and to where exactly it’s pointing to.
❝ So, in the direction of more ruined buildings and rubble. Nothing I haven’t dealt with before, ❞

"Almost as easy as shoving some poor innocent soul into that endless abyss of pit towards the center of the city, however normal people generally don’t do such things.”
Arno stated in retort, a massive tint of sarcasm in his voice. While he wasn’t sure how the beacon pistol functioned exactly, it was obvious that nothing good came from firing it at another individual. It didn’t take a genius to figure out that firing something in the shape of a weapon likely wasn’t the most wise decision.
As they’d continue continue onward, Arno squints his eyes as he notices a particularly tall ruin of what used to be a building. Perhaps it was a church or some sort of library? Nonetheless, it seemed stable enough to scale and get a good sense of where they were and where they were heading, it never hurts to plan ahead.
“Considering we seem to be wandering aimlessly, it might be a wise decision for one of us to get to high vantage point and scout out a proper route.”
Arno states as he points towards the ruin ahead, as an assassin of the brotherhood, scaling this ruin would be a simple and easy task. Even more so considering in this scenario, he didn’t need to put that much attention into being stealthy and cautious.
"I’d imagine some of these ‘locations’ are likely difficult places to reach, seeing what lies up ahead may give us a good idea of what to expect. Perhaps give us time to formulate some sort of strategy.”
“Also, if everyone is being paired up in teams, there must be some sort of competition in place, if that’s indeed the case I’d rather not find out what losers at the bottom receive as a ‘prize’.”
