S5 crashout and make-up sex fic where Michaela gets spooked after they make it official to their families and tries to make a run for it (again.) Aching angst and beautiful love confession followed by Michaela giving Francesca a strap-on and creating a monster. (we all cheered) The sex is hot and laced with trauma resolution through kink. Michaela's POV is fantastic, she is full of contradictions and completely surprising and spontaneous and lovely. Queer joy baby
followed a dream and a strange desire by latkeparty, 50k, ongoing, rated E
5 + 1 fic set in Scotland and then after Michaela's return in London. The character study is phenomenal. I loved living in Francesca's head and watching her navigate her marriage and grief as she attempt to articulate her own interiority to herself. I love how this story characterized her relationships not just with Michaela and John, but with Anthony, Scotland, Benedict and Sophie, all the Bridgerton sibs, her piano. I want to eat this fic and i can't wait for part 2

An exploration of Francesca and Benedict's queerness within the confine of their society. Suffocation is a character of its own in this story and it's heartbreaking. Francesca's POV especially made me feel like I was suspended in time. (a horrible fucking time) The imagery of the writing is very striking and always give me a lot to think about when it comes to those these characters.

Francesca catches Michaela as she is leaving instead of learning about it from their maid. I'm amazed by how much this author covered in such little space. The writing is filled with melancholy, grief and warmth and it is a sweet and heartbreaking exploration of the uncertainty of goodbyes and it gave me lots of feelings.

This fic made me want to die in the best possible way. An alternative story for Francesca and Michaela in Scotland that built so well as something different from the books and the show. This was written before season 4 dropped and is still ongoing and their lives are so tangible and some chapters felt like i was putting my heart through a cheese grater for the kick of it. Such an immersive story. It made me think of all the women in history that must've gone through the same thing (and many of them who still are)
