𝒐𝒓𝒊𝒈𝒊𝒏𝒂𝒍 𝒃𝒊𝒕𝒄𝒉 ,

               as  if  her  heart  stopped  !   relief  is  a  delicious  sensation ,   one  rebekah  is  well acquainted  with  due  to ,   in  her  opinion ,   the  stupid  and  reckless  actions  of  her  family .   but  every  time  it  floods  her  senses ,   she  thank  whatever  cruel  god  that  she’s  allowed  to  live  for  another  year  to  feel  it .   within  an  instant ,   the  default  demeanor    (   consisting  of  a  guard  up  and  attitude  high   )    drops ,   and  she  becomes  the  little  sister .   the  little  sister  whose  love  for  her  brother  makes  up  her  whole  being ,   childlike  smile  taking  over  her  whole  face .    ‘   oh ,   thank  god !   ’

               ‘   you  have  too  much  faith  in  the  brilliance  of  humanity ,   ’    a  millennia  of  growth  and  rebekah  still hadn’t  witnessed  the  wonders  generations  dreamt  of .   except  perhaps  women’s  fashion ,   of  which  she  is  a  proud  pioneer .   but  flying  cars ?   deadpan  smile  find  its  way  past  her  expression ,    ‘   nice  idea ,   though .   ’

               keeping  rebekah  away  from  family  is  impossible .   she’d  say  you’ll  have  better  luck  calming  the  rage  of  her  father  or  paranoia  of  her  brother ;   both  of  which  she’d  deem  unfeasible .   as  evidence  to  that  statement ,   one  of  the  first  people  she  longed  to  find ,   was  her  niece .   the  first  year  of  life  in  which  hope  was  under  rebekah’s  care  had  been  the  first  year  of  absolute  bliss  in  an  ungodly  long  time    ------    and  every  moment  since .   a  light  knock  against  the  frame  of  the  door ,   the  blonde  standing  in  full  view  with  a  stereotypical  smile    [   .  .  .   ]    the  sight  before  her  made  it  impossible  to  keep  the  demeanor  at  bay ,   expression  soon  growing  into  a  full --- blown  grin ,    ‘    hello  there ,   sweetheart .   ’

               the  voice  interrupted  a  train  of  thought ,   and  rebekah  couldn’t  help  but  be  displeased  with  that  fact ;   turning  with  the  usual  flair  she’d  taught  herself  over  the  millennia    (   act  untouchable ,   and  maybe  you  won’t  be  hurt   ) .   however ,   as  eyes  land  upon  the  boy ,   something  switched    ------    familiarity  punched  her  in  the  stomach ,   but  she  couldn’t  put  her  finger  on  it .   and  boy  was  the  uncomfortable  confusion  evident  on  her  face ,   visible  by  the  deep  frown .    ‘   who  . . .   ’    words  die  on  her  lips ,   trailing  off  as  an  image  pop  into  her  head ,   but  it  is  as  if  blurry .    ‘    yes ?   ’   trying  to  be  guarded ,   but  faltering .
