It had been a rather đđđđđđđđđđ day for Adrian Marks. The highlights of his day one might ask? Well no supernatural activity to pull him away from his tasks, for one. And two? Actually getting to complete three projects for his courses a week before the deadline as opposed to it being mere minutes before it is meant to because he was working or having to deal with some supernatural calamity. Okay so really it was just one highlight but still he felt accomplished. And for that alone he deserves to have a little fun. He grabbed his phone from the charger at his desk and quickly scrolled through with the intent of finding someone that could possibly hang out somewhere with him. The witchlighter happened upon the đ in his contacts and there was a feeling in his bones that told him to check up on his former counselor. Sure they were technically đđđĄđ§đ¨đĽđđđŚ apart in age, but his spirit took him and could tell he was a great soul despite his siblings rather extensive history of being anything but that. Long, slender digits went straight to work tapping away at the keyboard on the screen to message him in the hopes he would be free.
[ đđđ â đ.đđđđźđđđđđ ] : hey bitch! just kidding, donât kill me for calling you that henrikky.
[ đđđ â đ.đđđđźđđđđđ ] : itâs basically almost five, so you đ´đŠđ°đśđđĽ be off the clock soon. how about we go to a bar and get some drinks in? itâll be my treat.
Adrian stared at the two text messages he sent the man and for the life of him did not know why he would even send something as cringy as that to him. âHeâs never going to respond to that with đźđđđđđđđ other than being too busy with all that extraness I had to have. Might as well get myself ready to film a show insteadââ A small sigh escaped from his lips.
henrik probably had too many studentâs numbers in his phone that was socially acceptable. in all fairness, before any student contact, he did have the initials SSFTYAG, a long amount of initials and not an acronym ( how would one even say such a thing ? ), this was to ensure they would all be bunched as a group in his phone as well as the fact to remind himself that for these people--- for these KIDS, he had to be the adult. even if he was so far removed from a sensible mindscape, there was no choice but to shed the role of henrik mikaelson and keep himself stern in the role of someone to lean on. because sometimes, that was all he could do. and heâd do the best he fucking could at it.Â
and then there were the cases of graduate students. of course, henrik wouldnât delete their contacts. ( sorry but fuck that noise, theyâd remain his kids until they were old and gray, sorry guys ). no, for his graduate students he had a whole different section of his contact list. GSFTYAG. catchy, ainât it? so when GSFTYAG, ADRIAN MARKS was received henrik thought of the young man. admittedly, despite keeping their numbers, it wasnât often he received texts from his previous students. still, he was pleased to do so all the same.Â
[ đđđ â GSFTYAG, ADRIAN MARKS ] : dw im not killer even for unfortunate nicknames. if i need someone dead iâd ask my brotherÂ
[ đđđ â GSFTYAG, ADRIAN MARKS ] : that was a jokeÂ
[ đđđ â GSFTYAG, ADRIAN MARKS ] : but yeah, iâm good with drinks. name the place Â
getting drinks with a former student sounded weird in concept, but henrik was open to it. excited, even. to see how heâs grown, catch up a bit. to see adrian as a peer, which was somewhat of an odd idea in his mind but something heâd need to adjust to. in all technicality almost any of his students was physically able to take him down. it wasnât something that crossed him, nor was it a bother. but it did make things shaky sometimes. mostly over the fact that, in the world they lived, henrik knew himself unable to PROTECT them. and that.... that was a blow in all the walls in which he leaned. so yeah, not fun.Â
