does any other 20-25 year old feel like their brain isn't actually as developed as other adults in certain areas? like i feel like i'm a child. i feel like i don't have the capacity to understand certain things by myself. i don't think like other adults do, certain things don't even occur to me. i got in trouble for being friends with younger people, but i'm not a predator, i'm just not mentally an adult. it sucks because i'm now realizing that i have to recognize when someone is a chronological child, and stop talking to them. but that feels like i'm isolating myself from people i relate to and people who understand where i'm at in maturity. i hope i can find friends who are my chronological age who also feel younger so that i can relate to them and so that they're not out of my mental maturity league.

but also on the other token, my brain development in some regions is much more mature than most adults i know. this is common in autism and ptsd. i can understand the most complex and difficult and complicated topics such as social justice, morality, extremely advanced scientific subjects, psychology and neurology, biology, i can make logical connections between the most unrelated things and come to a conclusion that others adults can't, as easily as 1+1, but i cant understand common sense without someone pointing things out to me. like i have to be told the simplest things like a 2 year old child, and most of the time i dont even understand the logic behind it. my brain is a wreck of uneven development and it makes my life so damn hard. i know i'm smart, but i'm also stunted as hell.

the only friends i have are younger, or in the same situation as me. i don't want to cut off my best friends, but also everyone's telling me i should because it's unsafe...

im not predatory. i'm not even a MAP. i just have uneven brain development due to autism and ptsd. but ofc people don't understand that and they'll harass, hurt, or even sue me for being friends with chronologically younger people. idk what to do...

if anyone relates to this, maybe possibly can be friends? idk i'm just desperate for friends and support and stuff
