I had put the needle to my leg, gave it a push but it didn’t break the skin and the realization that I wasn’t doing it hard enough caused an idea of the pain I was likely to feel doing it. My roommate got impatient, did it for me, and it was literally barely a pinch and I’m so ashamed. 

I’m not sure if you’d need a blood test if you’re not gonna inject. But I will say that I was worried it was gonna be the whole “tube in your forearm” thing like my last medical blood test was, but it was actually just the thing where they poke your finger.
