Leave it to my sisters to make me cry on Christmas… I am a lot of things. But being a big sister to 4 of the most amazing girls on this planet is one of my favorite feelings. I watched them grow up in what feels like 30 seconds and become these beautiful young ladies. I’ve tried my hardest to always be the best big sister I can be for them… I know that I’ve lost so many battles with my own heart and mind on whether I’m the big sister they wanted or the big sister they unfortunately got stuck with… we’ve been through so much. We shared cookies together in side by side highchairs (shared even though you may or may not have stolen my cookie) I made a car out of a cardboard box. Complete with four tires made from paper plates, a license plate that said your name, and a seatbelt made of rainbow yarn. Because you loved race cars so much. I pushed you around in that box car for hours. When you didn’t like your room I cleaned out my closet and made you a little room. It turned into your playroom where you colored on the walls and we hid that from mom. I was 8 years old and you were just a few months old and you were having a hard time sleeping at night. One night you finally fell asleep on my pillow. I couldn’t believe your entire little body fit on my pillow so perfectly. Mom and dad we’re both exhausted and I stayed there all night watching over you as you slept. Those are just a few of the memories that make me smile and wish time would slow down. I know we’ve been through a lot… especially within these past two years. We’ve been there for each other no matter how difficult things were. We’ve bumped heads a lot. We’ve laughed a lot. We’ve cried a lot. We’ve learned a lot. But through it all we always found love. Growing up there was one thing I always told myself. “Be the big sister you always wanted” and that’s what I always tried my best to be. I love you girls with all my heart. I’m still processing everything that happened Wednesday night. It’s been dream of mine to take my little sister @marvel_queen_01 to see her favorite band. She’s been a fan of them since she was 11 years old. Finally for her birthday this year I was able to get tickets to see @thedriverera and we made a little road trip to Dallas. We saw them on stage and got to sing and dance to all our favorite songs. Not only did we get to see them on stage but we got to meet them afterwards! I’m telling you the feeling I got seeing my little sister meet her idols was beyond amazing. Definitely felt like a proud big sister. Seeing her that happy made me want to cry.
