i heard this sammi kid is supposed to be something special

i  heard  this  𝚜𝚊𝚖𝚖𝚒  𝚔𝚒𝚍  is  supposed  to  be  𝐬𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠  𝐬𝐩𝐞𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐥  [  .  .  .  ]  i  hope  she  is. 

                If    he    could    smile    any    wider,    he    would,    but    his    skin    is    already    very    purple.    Sporting    a    black    eye    and    a    bruised    cheek.    For    a    moment,    everything    was    right.    He    apologized,    admit    to    his    fault    (    even    if    that’s    debatable    ),    and    everything    seems    to    be    okay    !!    But    he    can’t    help    it    that    his    smile    falters    and    loses    its    shine    when    she    says    those    words    he    would    have    hoped    to    never    hear.    His    heart    sank    through    the    floor,    it    felt    like.

                Ryan    moves    from    her    touch,    pushing    her    hand    away    from    him    gently.    Something    he    would    come    to    regret    in    the    coming    days    when    he    misses    her    at    night.    The    look    on    his    face    spells    out    hurt    and    confusion    all    in    one.    He    moves    the    towel    away    from    his    lip    as    brows    furrow.    He    takes    a    breath    in    through    his    nose.    “    What'ya    mean,    baby    ??    Wha-    I…    ”    His    emotions    turn    to    anger.    “    I    took    a    fuckin’    beating    for    you,    Sam.    And    you’re    just    gonna…    just    gonna    dump    me    ??    ”    Thankfully    he’s    learned    to    put    a    cap    on    his    anger,    at    least    around    people    he    cares    about    too    much.

&.     she  stumbles  back  ,  taking  as  many  steps  away  from  him  as  she  could  until  the  small  of  her  back  makes  contact  with  the  kitchen  counter  .  knows  he’d  never  hurt  her  ,  but  part  of  her  still  afraid  that  the  same  hand  that  had  so  softly  pushed  her  away  would  slap  her  across  the  face  / / /  a  fear  that  her  father  had  instilled  in  her  every  time  she’d  disappointed  him  .  blue  eyes  can’t  look  at  him  anymore  :  not  as  his  voice  raises  (  the  first  time  it’s  ever  been  directed  at  her  )  &  she  knows  she’s  fucked  up  .  but  annika  had  reminded  her  that  sobriety  was  the  most  important  thing  [  .  .  .  ]  even  if  sam  wasn’t  quite  convinced  .  

Sad thing was? It wasn’t the dumbest thing Kat had ever been arrested for; not by a long shot. Her teenage years were full of stories of Gemma or Clay or Jax or Chibs coming to claim her from the Charming Sheriff’s office. This was still up there, though. Definitely in the top five.

“Agreed. We might have to start jogging in order to train for these types of scenarios.” Perish the thought. 

Looking ahead to where Chibs was a few steps ahead of them, Kat leaned in towards Sami. “Soooo do you think he’s more upset about driving up here to get us or about the emu?”

&.     she’s  struggling  to  keep  her  laughter  quiet  ,  not  wanting  to  upset  chibs  more  than  he  already  is  / / /  but  it’s  a  failed  effort  as  he  shoots  a  glare  back  at  them  &  her  smile  only  widens  .  she’d  be  getting  a  mouthful  from  ariana  when  she  got  back  home  .  an  arm  is  thrown  over  kat’s  shoulders  ,  a  quiet  hum  leaving  her  lips  .
