HEART OF VOLTRON *

soon she’s at keith’s door, bouncing on the balls of her feet. a quick knock and once he opens the door she’s grinning bright and wide, hands clasped together and pressed to her chest. 

     ❝ easy — ❞  acxa makes easy strides to meet the princess at her work desk, rather than the latter making any strenuous approach .  ❝ — i prefer not to make a grand entrance , ❞ she offers a light tease before she takes pause , arms folding over her chest , levity lost as her expression turns cautious , contemplative .

     ❝ i heard about the robeast that fought voltron on earth .  from the way it attacked on the feeds … it looked like the KOMAR — like something the HIGH PRIESTESS was capable of channeling . ❞  she remembers the witch’s power during her ‘ service ’ to her , just as she recalls the dangerous look that haggar exchanged after she had been spurned by her son .  ❝ princess , when all of you and lotor vanished all those deca-phoebs ago , so did haggar .  no one has seen her since then , not the druids or the galra .  but i know she’s still out there .  after everything that happened … if this really is her handiwork , i needed to know for sure . ❞

     it is the not knowing that makes the former general-turned-rebel uneasy , unable to predict what her next action should be .  but perhaps she isn’t alone in her thoughts ; she has others to rely on now … again .

her stomach sinks. the suspicion festered in the movements following the battle; had winked at her ever since she awoke, battered and bruised in a strange hospital. and while the draining of quintessence resembled the work of the komar, the energy that had emanated felt...different. stronger. still distorted and WRONG from the pure quintessence she witnessed in the rift, but only just so. 

allura’s fingers tap against the table’s surface.  ❝ i suspect the same, ❞ she says, finally. ❝  after we separated, we were attacked by one of haggar’s druids and he -- he did mention haggar’s disappearance. which was as odd then as it is now. ❞
