her limbs are still heavy, tired, except she drags them through task after task with considerably less effort than when she awoke on the hospital bed movements – weeks, she reminds herself – after that last battle. sifting through the castle of lion’s archive is easy work. not what she wants to do when outside the garrison’s base the rebuilding efforts continue without her and the paladins, but it’s something – a step to rebuilding the castle, at the very least. 

she blames the lethargy for her delayed reaction: it takes her a tick or two to register acxa’s presence. the short locks of violet hair, the yellow insignia of her new armor are still unfamiliar, but allura finds a grin lighting her face regardless. 

“acxa!” she turns from her work, one hand gripping the edge of the table. “i apologize. no one’s mentioned your arrival to me. but i’m glad to see you as well. what’s brought you here?” 

     ❝ easy — ❞  acxa makes easy strides to meet the princess at her work desk, rather than the latter making any strenuous approach .  ❝ — i prefer not to make a grand entrance , ❞ she offers a light tease before she takes pause , arms folding over her chest , levity lost as her expression turns cautious , contemplative .

     ❝ i heard about the robeast that fought voltron on earth .  from the way it attacked on the feeds ... it looked like the KOMAR — like something the HIGH PRIESTESS was capable of channeling . ❞  she remembers the witch’s power during her ‘ service ’ to her , just as she recalls the dangerous look that haggar exchanged after she had been spurned by her son .  ❝ princess , when all of you and lotor vanished all those deca-phoebs ago , so did haggar .  no one has seen her since then , not the druids or the galra .  but i know she’s still out there .  after everything that happened ... if this really is her handiwork , i needed to know for sure . ❞
