Rose sighed, leaning back against the TARDIS console. That close call had been too close. Why did all their simple trips to London end in them almost dying?

It had been a relatively normal day. Rose and the Doctor were just stopping at her mum's to drop off more laundry. What they didn't expect were a group of four attackers waiting for them. It was strange though, they all used the same weapon--some sort of silver blade.

The Doctor had managed to distract them for a few minutes before they both ran back to the TARDIS as fast as they could. The attackers had almost caught up, but the Doctor and Rose had managed to make it back into the TARDIS. It wasn't like they hadn't had close calls before, but there was something different about this time. Rose couldn't stop thinking about what one of the attackers had said before she pulled out her blade. I'm sorry, sister, but these are our orders.

Maybe she didn't hear her right, but Rose was almost positive they had called her their sister. It didn't make any sense--she didn't have any siblings.

"Doctor?" She called out his name, panting slightly. "Who were those people?"
