It was a long summer consisting of traveling around for weeks with S.P.A.Z. in a 40ft veggie oil / diesel bus throwing parties, visiting beautiful forests, and generally wandering around the Pacific Northwest participating in a community of lovely autonomous mutants. Much of that time was with little internet usage and I failed to keep my website on top of all the Pink Abduction Ray related stuff going on, so here's a summary... The 19th annual Autonomous Mutant Festival was once again an amazing collection of creative mutants expressing themselves in myriad freaky ways. Without contest the most radical underground free sound system party in the United States with a completely revolutionary and open-source approach to contemporary commercial festival culture. A couple weeks later we showed up in Portland and with a couple days of planning threw an all night party from Sunday night to Monday morning. WOM & individual hand drawn fliers. If you know you know, ya know? As people were starting their day all around us Monday morning, we were loading massive amounts of deco and sound back into the bus after a melon-bursting party of interdimensional mayhem. Buck routine and live an alternate reality, see how existence adapts! The lineup included Pink Abduction Ray, Baseck, Minipop, Spukkin Faceship, Tig Bitty, Psychotropika, Subjektiv, Banzai and more....

Many radio show performances took place via SPAZ Radio, on the always culturally enlightening weekly live shows DAM Free Radio & Spukkin Faceship's Fukkin Spaceship. Browse the ever growing SPAZ radio archives (a page which I designed =) for an infinite amount of variety and awesomeness available at your fingertips, and if you feel so inclined, attempt to find extra special secret Pink Abduction Ray live and DJ sets archived during this period... Next up was another big ol SPAZ style Oakland warehouse party with Pink Abduction Ray, D-Syn, Boa, Banzai, Tig Bitty, Rrhexis, Amandroid, Hugdealer, and secretly featuring Filastine with Nova Ruth from Spain & Indonesia respectively. They were in town for the 10th annual Symbiosis Gathering the following weekend, at which I played a late night trippy drippy DJ / live set in the warm adaptogenic NIUKA / Alexiteric Tea Clinic tent while dressed like a strange elven forest creature.

Back out into the woods, the environment that mutants and aliens so love, we threw a party in Twin Peaks.. er Big Bend, California with Majestic Beast, LoopSpooL, One Man Banjo, DJ .0000001, Tig Bitty vs Too Nasty, Subjktv, MiniPop, Spukkin Faceship, & Melty Cake.. to promote we made a giant collage poster in a heavy duty DIY frame and nailed it to the side of the only store in town. There's always something quite special about doing parties in unlikely places way off the beaten path.

Wham bam finally headed back to LA to play Cool World's freaky deaky Ħ Λ ₤ ₤ ❍ Ŵ Σ ξ Ŋ party which was filled with lots of creative stranglings getting their freak on to all sorts of eclectic performances. Why isn't Halloween every day again?
