Yes, you could argue there's some admin manipulation at play behind the scenes, but that still doesn't entirely discount what we see on the screen, it just gives perspective to why Andre might prioritize the run. They still make the decision to consistently use Assimilation without really listening to it at all in turn though.

Yes, in the run we see, Assimilation becomes self aware and self reflects and is hurt by Andre in turn, but there are most likely countless runs where Assimilation tries to and most likely manages to sometimes succeed in assimilating Andre. That is genuinely horrible lmao, the idea of having your mind forcefully overridden like that makes me shudder. But we can assume Assimilation also sometimes prioritized the objective ingrained in them by the admins like Andre though, despite how much it may distress the other.

Assimilation only didn't do that in the run we see because something literally broke and they had an ego death realizing they're manufactured.

Like I get it that he could act nice after gaining sentience but id love to see him act as violent as glados or AM because it would be such an interesting concept, especially with how we see him act towards Andre's cowardice and possibly wanting to get violent - it just doesn't fit when people want to make him "cute" or "nice". Also the idea of assimilation wanting to take over Andre's body also ain't explored enough.. I see it as assimilation wanting to be Andre so badly he wants to crawl into his skin and BE him out of envy.

But goooooodd... like you can make him cutesy and stuff but it genuinely feels like we are babying a murder machine.. and I find the fact it ain't explored enough SOOOO disappointing 🥀
