A tow boat from the ship TMS Undaunted was lost, containing infected.

The tow boat was found on the island of Vardøya, and a crew of 15 was send to find it.

Only 4 returned.

A couple more marines found the village or Vardø, finding even more infected. While fleeing, many were killed. The TMS Undaunted ended up docking, believing the marines and sailors were still alive.

In Game

The Danish soldiers in Vardøhus fortress try to escape the now infected village, their best option is to get to the docks.

When they reach the church, the soldiers ring the bell, hoping the bell would alert anyone of their position.

Luckily, the TMS Undaunted was able to hear the bell, now setting sail; however, with the thought it was the sailors that were left.

The Danish turn on the light house, praying the boat would find them.

The boat was able to arrive and the Danish soldiers left alive escape.

Aftermath

Most of the public was not informed of what happened in Vardø until 1815, where scientists arrived to research the area. Also, in the ice, there was an alive runner, eyes moving.

You got: a DTIYS entry! Hmm, seems like Clonelin doesn't really know how to draw. But it does seem to like collaging what it finds together. It presents its work to you proudly, surprisingly well taken care of despite its working conditions. ...it hopes you like it.

Background: security camera screens, supposed to be reminiscent of Admin control panels. I was gonna replace them with screenshots from the video, but…I got a little lazy…

Andre: Made up most of pencil and watercolors! I like to use traditional art to symbolize humanity, so that’s what Andre’s style represents.

PsychoNetworks: The PNs are also all originally watercolored and outlined with gel pen, but their overlays obscure that. I was thinking this to be like, how individually they all contribute themselves to make one multifaceted human in the form of Andre. (But I still interpret them as a DID-adjacent system lol). Also, I made them all generic/vague humanoid shapes to allude to the fact that essentially they are just trains of thought/consciousness without physical forms. They can look like anything, but that means they can look like nothing!

SIDI: heart imagery!! The body is soft plush hearts, the head is the heart organ. They may be perceived as just overly excitable and a bit annoying, but in the end they are still a vital part of the human experience: positive emotional regulation.

Conzer: i had a bit of trouble with Conzer, but I interpret them as self-preservation and situational awareness. So, I thought it fitting that they would be connected to neuron synapses and brain imagery!!

Feargeyt: Spiderwebs!!!! I don’t know honestly, it just clicked to me. As I was playing around with them I realized the spiderwebs also look a lot like glass with cracks in it, which I thought also fit thematically well. The red box around Feargeyt is actually the crosshairs used to move objects in OBS (a popular streaming software). I thought that fit rly well both with Andre being perceived as a streamer, and Feargeyt trapped inside. Originally I was going to put red binary code chaining them down, but I already used binary for Andre and didn’t want to be redundant.

Ego: I get a lot of my understanding of the characters from this awesome fanfic AFK by @birdnormal , so Ego to me is long-term memory, like they are characterized in the fic. Thus the code imagery that makes up their body. But they also play an important role in keeping the peace in chat, which is why I gave them a (barely visible) blindfold; it’s a nod to the Lady of Justice.

Soup: the timekeeper!!! Their body is specifically made up of stopwatches (it took too long to find an image not ai-gen’d) while their head is a normal clock.
