The game says Whitney "perhaps permanently broken". Too bad that's not true. Just imagine this traumatized Whitney, who's developed a fear of crowds and fruits. Like, Whitney, being his usual tough and rebellious bully self, starts a fight with PC, a crowd gathers around, and Whitney freezes, experiencing flashbacks of the pillory. And then he throws a tantrum, which attracts even more people, which makes his condition even worse. Or in housekeeping class, Whitney has a panic attack at the sight of fruit. Or! Or other students from school who saw Whitney on the pillory start bullying him and spreading videos and photos of his suffering. Or maybe they started blackmailing Whitney, and to keep his reputation from falling even further, the bully began doing unimaginably dirty and humiliating things at the behest of his tormentors? Such potential! Oh, I got carried away ( ._. ' )
