Undertale sketches

His home language would be intricate and archaic to the point where learning it would be a huge undertaking. I can’t say what kind of languages I would have in mind to create the vernacular (a mix of Latin and Slavic, maybe a sprinkle of French) or if there would be accents involved. However, I would probably call it something like Lunar Code or something dorky like Lunar-glyphics (pronounced like Hieroglyphics but minus the first part).

The sound would be vacuous, cold, and scarily calm. There’s no spark to it; not even an ounce of warmth from a simple compliment. Everything sounds elaborate and carefully arranged and making out the meaning would be fruitless as it all sounds like gibberish. And Wayne absolutely resents his mother tongue for that reason alone.

It prompts him to become a selectively mute person.

On Earth, he results to eavesdropping and listening to conversations or reading books (he can barely make out anything in those texts; poor bby hasn’t learned the alphabet). When communicating, he’ll point or mime out what he wants, which just gets him confused looks by people. They just think that he’s crazy and avoid him entirely. Needless to say, Wayne’s first few years on Earth were a quiet hell.
