shampoo!!

I simplified Scary's hair a bit to make the silhouette easier to read and added some hair clips because a punk goth seeker of darkness has to accessorize, c'mon. I kept going back and forth on the skirt, because at some point I thought pants might work better, but I really wanted the platform boots and fishnets to shine, so ultimately skirt it is.

Taylor was the one teen I feel I didn't do justice in my first post — I drew him too sharp, when I think his face should be softer, that way his demonic features can contrast better. I gave him some cargo pants and mountain boots because once a ranger — always a ranger and his iconic katana, of course.

In between my first post and this one I tweaked all the teens' designs one way or another, but Normal was the one I changed the most. I tried a slightly different hairstyle for him, no bangs — I wanted it to feel just a little bit more put together on the front, for an easier time doing cheerleading. I gave him a more vintage cheer uniform, as well as 80's pompoms because those are just cooler, honestly.

For Normal i went very safe, pretty similar to the general fandom consensus of what he should look like, with some very small additions. I made his cheer-leading uniform green instead of baby blue just to keep the color coordination of the families consistent in between generations. I made his hair brown with blonde highlights at the bottom — I can imagine he was full blonde as a kid and as he's growing up it keeps getting darker. I also made his eye shape very droopy, just because it makes him look sad and pathetic and that's what you want out of any Oak family member character design honestly.

Similar to Normal, I went with a very standard design for Taylor. I find the concept of demon puberty to be unbelivably funny, so of course i gave him the smallest horns imaginable. I haven't thought out the exact logistics of growing a tail but it sounds not very fun! I didn't give him his little hat, I feel a little guilty about it but you can't have horns and a hat, that's just greedy. I gave him a black jacket to create a nice symmetry with Glenn and Nicky, but it's not leather, that way we can establish a certain distance.

I really like the idea of Scary being a natural blonde who dyes her hair black to match her dark soul... she neglected to dye it back when the roots were growing in but now it's so long it's kind of a look so she keeps ot that way. I tried to base her very slightly off of Beth May also. I wanted her to have a sharper face but that in combination of the make-up just made her look too grown up, so i gave her some baby fat and some freckles to make her look younger.
