I’m bread! Any pronouns is good pronouns around here. I do art, mostly for transformers. I also am super into the Apothecary Diaries, even though I don’t post about it much.

My ever growing Lost Light crew!! With captain at the helm, a second in command, two CMOs, an amnesiac theoretician, a bartender, and a waste disposal expert. Generations drift, when I find you it’s straight over for you… I will have my full chain of command! And I guess for the sake of completeness I have to get a megatron. Technically. But whatever! I have a growing crew!

LOOK AT THIS SICK HOT ROD and his cool visor and his accessories!! He’s pretty poseable and he clearly transforms but since I don’t have his instructions, I haven’t tried maneuvering him yet. I found him and this fantastic booth with a wonderful windblade that I didn’t end up grabbing, but they all had fun poses together.

A Skids for my LL crew collection!! He was loose in a bag in someone’s bin, and my first great find after I was taught how to rifle through the bins efficiently. I love his little nudge gun!! He did also come with transformation instructions.

Someone had every blokees individual figure I could think of and I just had to snag mags and ratchet!! I would’ve spent way more money on the blind boxes trying to get them individually so it’s great that I found them here. And of course ratchet is so so special cause he lights up

Speaking of ratch, I also got a war for cybertron ratchet! He had been opened before, and he’s a little… grimy, but he was the perfect size and shape to be an addition to my LL crew so he had to come home with me. Besides, I have plenty of grease/oil cleaner, that’s an easy fix.

He came with some tools too!!

This was the little windblade that was left over on the charity table! She’s a patron of children’s health. I think this design is cyberverse? I’m not as familiar with that show. She’s very much a toy, rather than a figure, but she’s so charming and pretty and for a good cause :)

AND NOW MY MAGNUS MY PRIDE AND JOY MAGNUS he’s perfect!!!! He was so great and I found so many of him for sale at a lot of tables and I snagged him for a good deal. The guy even spent so long looking for the instructions for me too, which I super appreciated!! Cause uh. He did come to me as a truck, and I did want to transform him back to root mode for the pictures and uh. It was not an intuitive process. Thank you sir for digging to find those instructions 🙏

COOL ART COOL STICKER COOL PATCH

shoutout to ommochao on insta for the wonderful bishoujo starscream pinup!! I didn’t get the name of the vendor with the drift sticky so please!! If you recognize this art lemme know cause I gotta follow them. I was told the first aid patch was from the medicalgrade zine from tumblr!! From a couple years ago, so I’m so glad I found it!

- Oh my god it was so visually overwhelming at first. Like, it was organized very well with good rows and walkways, so navigating the aisles wasn’t too hard, but it was like this huge visual wall of boxes and colors and figures. I had to take a couple of minutes at the edge of the room to take it all in

- Everyone I talked to was so nice 🥲 the vendors gave me tips for how to dig through the boxes, and directed me towards people/booths who were more likely to have what I was looking for. Fans of all ages were genuinely interested in and curious about my thoughts and opinions and I had so many good conversations with people. I loved everyone who wore cosplay or had cool t-shirts, especially bishoujo starscream

- From a historian perspective, the sheer amount of advertising history that people had acquired and were willing to talk to me about was crazyyyyy. There was a booth that had original scripts and storyboards from the G1 cartoon, and printed napkins from 84, and some of the original cheapass board books for kids with wonky art and it was such a cool collection, and I could so write a thesis on transformers and how it impacted advertising for children

- there was a silent auction for Seattle children’s hospital, and vendors kept adding really cool and valuable stuff to the table to help sweeten the pot and encourage people to bid. And then the family who won the bid took a few things they wanted, and opened it up for the kids at the convention to pick out what they wanted from that huge spread! It was super heartwarming and I just sat and people-watched for a bit, and it was so amazing watching how excited they all were. (They opened the table up later for adults, but they strongly encouraged 👀 a donation before picking smth out. Which I gladly did :) )
