CAPTAIN MARVEL.

The Guardians of the Galaxy were a star burning out, meaning they were a fiery ball of gas with a destined collision already preordained. They were fractured; some came from here and some came from there. Phyla-Vell was from there. Rocket was from here. The Captain Marvel of Earth-18897 and the Raccoon of Earth-19999 found themselves on a team together, but the memories Phyla possessed of Rocket didn’t correlate to the creature in front of her -- and that was for the best.

“Sounds so hospitable of you.”

“Well thank you for being here, at least. I know it’s pretty far for you guys.”

“That’s very guardian like of you to say.”

“How thoughtful of you?”

“You guys clearly feel some sort of responsibility to help otherwise you wouldn’t be here. That’s gotta count for something.”

“Just so we’re clear, I, nor the Inhumans, have created anything.”

“According to a few people I’ve asked… yes.”

“I was getting there,” Felicia grumbled, rolling her eyes before kicking in the glass on the machine. “God forbid I try to do the right thing for once.”

“I can’t really say I blame you for that. A fresh start on a new galaxy sounds kind of appealing.”

“Okay, well that’s good to know. It’s nice to meet you….?” Daisy trailed off, hoping that the woman would know to respond with a name.

“I don’t blame you for the confusion. It’s kind of insane that there’s been two big reality shifting occurrences like that recently. Westview was when the Scarlet Witch warped reality. Pleasant Hill is when S.H.I.E.L.D. did it.”

“Does this qualify as just an Earth mess at this point?” Heather inquired, her thumb gently rubbing against her wife’s palm as the two sat next to one another. 

“That look in your eyes— I know what it means. I see it everywhere I go. You want to ask me something, yet you hesitate. Why? Are you afraid I might hurt you?”

“you see, history is much more fascinating than you’d expect it to be.”

“Nope, stop right there. Before you say anything— this is just as confusing for me as it is for you. Scratch that— this is way more confusing for me. So just- don’t say anything stupid, alright?”
