im in my 8th semester at uni. it should be my last but since i started internship i couldnt do all the classes designated for each term, so im behind in some. 2 years ago, i decided to focus on getting work experience, thats when i choose to stay behind in some classes. getting an internship its easier than getting a full time job. also, graduating without any work experiences in the area u chose makes really hard to get accepted in jobs later on too… thats why i made this decision.
however!!!! i resolved to fully focus on my studies in the next semesters, so im stepping out of my internship for the second half of the year.
in my course, i study linguistics and literature, but im a 100% a linguistics girl! phonetics, phonology and syntax have all my heart !!!! but i really want to improve my literature knowledge, this is one of my goals for the next semesters!
i take the english & portuguese course at uni. i’ve studied english for some looooong years, but i never got to travel to english countries or have full english conversations. my friends always were some steps ahead of me when it came to english, so i’ve always felt shy to speak with them in the language. bc of this i never got to improve my speaking and writing skills! i understand 99% of the language, but when it comes to writing and speaking, sometimes i do some mistakes in the structure of a sentence or in a pronunciation level. thats why I REALLY appreciate if u could point out in the comments or in private messages some english errors that i might do in my posts!
