randomly got an idea for an age swap AU where instead of Vinny and Scott being the old bastards Mike and Jeremy are older and have to deal with their young adult coworkers, Vinny and Scott.

and Vincent lowkey keeps trying to kill people but Mike catches him before he does and Mike keeps trying to get Jeremy to take him seriously on the matter but Jeremy’s just like “oh this poor troubled youth, I’m sure he won’t actually kill anyone he just needs some help” but Jeremy is also terrified of him…

and Scott’s just desperately trying to impress his older coworkers but keeps getting dragged into Vincent’s foolishness

this reminds me of how old I used to make the guards be…vinny and scott were usually in their early to mid 30s and were still typically the oldest of the guards, I was 12-13ish and thought that was old😭

Scott knows that Vincent is a weird dude but he’s always surprised when he finds out people are genuinely scared of him. like to Scott Vincent is his obnoxious coworker that he’s known for over a decade. sure he has a weird sense of humor and has a knife collection but that’s just because he’s odd. and yes he’s creepy but when Scott calls him a creep it’s more of a “stop making sexual comments we’re working” way not creep as in “you’re a spooky dude”

Vincent also has a different view on Scotty.

most (especially like their coworkers) see Scott as this kind older dude who wants to help everyone. and it’s not that Scott isn’t nice or something but it’s that people tend to view him as energetic and happy, and he’s not. not anymore anyway.

Scott has had a tough life and is very mentally unwell. Vinny knows this and can see how drained Scott is, it’s probably because he’s known Scott for a long time and can usually read him well but it seems obvious that Scott’s likely passively suicidal. he doesn’t take care of himself and has no problem putting himself right in harms way. despite almost dying at this damn place multiple times he stays.

to Vincent Scott isn’t this happy dude, sure he’s sweet as sugar most the time, but he’s a very sad, often lonely, dude who is incredibly sexy.
